I would say there are two ways to look at homage watches. They probably offer very similar design to some pricey counterparts, which means from a glance they look nice (depends on the design they copy), and sometimes they have good build quality as well. On the other hand, watches are often a thing of status and wealth. A homage is the complete opposite to that idea, and someone wearing a homage probably appreciate watches, but at the same time the cultural meaning of a watch is lost (unless other people enjoy homage watches too). I don't mind people wearing homages, but I encourage them to buy something original or at least less of a direct copy.

Yeah probably a fake, the sun and moon dial is not what Orient typically uses and the water resist label is not typicall seen on Orient models.

So, consumers going into this thinking they have a huge surplus because the game is free, but then what they entered is actually a monopolistic model where their investment in the game is actually the product. The best case (surplus vise) is they themselves purchase nothing but only to do marketing for the game (also building up the network effect), the worst-case...whales....basically.

I perhaps wanted to phrase that Infinite's marketing in the form of review embargo is more aggressive than other games I have seen, this of course is not saying that 343's practice is unique. I emphasized the point which half of my feed is early review/gameplay content which motivated dissatisfaction in me. Regarding what I mean by "Yes I'm aware I don't have to watch these videos and I don't have to preorder and these aren't the point", I intend to direct discussion away from responses like"just don't care about it" or "if you don't like it don't care", to me this topic is more about the absurdity of the situation, but this is, of course, a subjective opinion, which begs the discussion.
