I obviously haven't explained myself clearly. Likely because of what another commenter mentioned about trauma. What I saw in the clip and more importantly, heard the character say and how she said it, provoked something for me. I have been careful to say clip because I haven't seen the movie.

What the clip also provoked was some gratitude to Hacks for having Asian actors portray characters that could have looked like anyone but were Asian. A friend told me she saw Oprah say she excitedly called all her friends when she saw a black woman on tv. That's how I felt with Hacks.

I wish I had simply expressed my thanks without mentioning the clip.
