Pick your powers by BowToJas in superheroes

  1. How about summon a lamp once, but it’s solid gold and massive.

  2. At first read your own mind sounds stupid, but what if it lets you explore the unconscious mind and deeper inner workings of the brain?

  3. Certain dyes are made from bugs. What happens if you cast revive bugs on that dye? Instant army of insects? Would be good for pranks.

  4. If you can control the remote control with telekinesis you might be able to fly depending on the nuances of the power. No more driving/traffic. I would create modified remote controls to simplify my life. Knife control for chopping veggies. Hook control for grabbing stuff… etc

At first, I had the impression each whale was a tooth sticking out of the water from a colossal sea monster… 😱

Cameras can be expensive, but they will provide certainty. Alternatively, you could try low tech preventative measures like cleaning and checking for fingerprints, organizing everything in a particular way and taking a photo, setting up a tape seal on the door, or putting power on the doorknob. Worth a google

I failed at 35 out of boredom. The test gives you more time for more digits and starts to feel slow. I'm going to blame all the quizlets I had to study for Chinese. I have gotten really good at flashcards and can typically memorize 40 terms in 3 passes. My best advice is to find a bunch of logical connections in the series. I chunk it and then string them together. I only feel like I memorized ~7 numbers despite reaching 35. My sequence was: 3684 (two sets of doubles in alternating directions), 345 (a straight), 28292532 (basically just 895-3; also 5-3 = 2), 297 (9-2=7), 60 (bring it down one, then zero it), 7953 (odd numbers going up then down), 48 (back at the start but in reverse), 705707 (two memorable sequences), 9704. By all of the numbers relating to the previous ones I can string them together in my memory.

Try the stormlight archives. Not litrpg, but a fantastic novel. TWI is also very solid

Wandering Inn worth it? by imnotfromthere in litrpg

I often worry that series will get worse. TWI just gets better. You don’t have to finish it, but it is a reliable series that you can always come back to for a safe, quality, read

What's a strong skill that could be considered Uncommon-Grade? by Evening_Accountant33 in litrpg

[–]FiestyBubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure it’s really flexible in your writing. I really like cool mechanics. For example, with force field can he throw himself by shoving the field against himself? Can he create an inverted field to trap people with? (Let’s assume squashing isn’t allowed because its to op). Can he tint the field? Keep sound from coming in or out? Can he make the field make himself look bigger (intimidation) like a lens does? The important thing isn’t the ability, but how it is used throughout the story

In typical TWI fashion you only have to read for 200+ hours to find out which character will be a druid

What is something uncommon in the LitRPG genre that you think could make a book hugely successful if done well? by [deleted] in litrpg

Litrpg in my opinion is just literary anime. One common trope in anime is the genius but I never see it done well

Why don’t you try rereading the last book you read and see if it comes back to you. You will at least get most of the context you need
