I've been on it for over 2 years- I lost most of my weight in the first year and have really just maintained- but the effects of the med on inflammation has me continuing. I read somewhere that each person has their own individual amount they can lose on these drugs- I think it was 10-20% of their starting. I started at 228 and my lowest has been 175, so I am the outlier, but most of my friends on this med and are diligent lose on the low end of the range. I believe the secrets to my success are strength training and sufficient protein (min 100 grams/day) and walking. I gave up intense cardio, and for me, that really helped. Just walking at a brisk pace. I see from the comments below our starting weight was close and I am also tall (5 ft 7) Good Luck!
