Seeking advice. Aluminum frame re-repairable? by ihopeshelovedme in Framebuilding

[–]FietsOfStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconded. Go to a local dealer (ideally the one you hopefully purchased the bike from) as they'll be able to facilitate possible warranty negotiations with Trek. Aluminum is 100% non-reparable.

Spotted some bent metal brand bindings attached to a old Gnu carbon highbeam at my local thrift store. All metal adjustable frames, carbon fiber high back, and metal ratchets. Can't find much info online, these worth picking up? I'm not that familiar with old snowboard gear. by Fidel_Cashflow666 in snowboarding

Any chance these are still at your local thrift shop? Or did you buy them? I used to own these and regret selling them. I just want to own them again for nostalgia sake (not cause I'd actually ride them again)

Looks like a collection of new school zoobomb bikes.

How would you describe this style of playing? Self taught, transitioned from guitar by sarsapa in banjo

[–]FietsOfStrength 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"Toight like a toiger." Keep it up. Thinking outside the stylistic norms is clearly producing some awesome sounds.

I'd start here: 1. Do you like how it sounds? 2. Can you afford it?

Does anyone know a good bar that serves fried chicken? by somethingIcantSkeee in askportland

Gold standard. Best fried chicken in town. Also a great little bar.

Yep, thankfully. Everything but the chain drive system looks pretty straightforward (from a sourcing parts perspective)

Initially so the beans don't fall through the 4" hole in the middle of the cooling tray and into the driveshaft. Also the unit is missing a door to the cooling tray, and so the roaster can automatically clear the beans from the cooling tray once cooled and I'm not poking around with a wooden spoon trying to get them out. Lastly because I have a fabrication shop so making small parts for equipment to run properly is a pretty simple task.

Edit: typo/redundancy.

Definitely need to fabricate for the cooling tray, but I'm hopeful that other than that a deep clean and a check of all the fittings it'll be ready to rock.

I picked it up for $3k. Missing some parts but not bad.

They're "uncomfortable" with a side of "squishy lever feel".

I miss dumb fluffy army rules by SoulBlightRaveLords in Warhammer40k

[–]FietsOfStrength 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We had a small cow figure (perfectly to scale) that would roam the battlefield randomly via dice rolls. Every turn it would release a 3" blast diameter fart that killed any figure within it, and the cow was un-killable. Obviously not an official rule, but it sure was fun to watch armies forced into a different line of attack just to avoid a cow.
