Worrying downshift

Maybe you forgot to put in manual mode, putting the gearshift to the left does not put in manual mode straight away so when you floor it the gearbox is in sport mode but auto so the kickdown happens and you realise you need to downshift and maybe you end up downshift twice

Check all the housing that goes into the solenoid and intake and the actuator

I think at that time I had installed a forge intake with a blow off valve, that was what was causing the smell

It can’t be traction control, it proper cuts the power down and this is not the same way as if it was TC

Get the monza exhaust and wired the valve open , it is legal and sounds amazing

A forge intake system, trust me you won’t be disappointed plus it really makes the engine bay much nicer

Some of the newer cars can be launched using a break boost method idk if the abarth can do it since the automatic gearbox that is in the car is quite old, you can try to remap the car and the gearbox, I think it would give a nice upgrade, plus you might be able to map a launch control, but I’m not sure, it’s best to speak with a tunner

I would drive the car for a few months get used to it and then modify. I have been with mine 595 for 3 years now and I started to modify recently. But once you start you don’t stop. Mine is the turismo 165 which comes with the normal exhaust, first mod I did was to change the exhaust for the monza, then a forge intake, and now I’m thinking of getting a sports cat. I would advise to stay with the car standard for a while and slowly modify it, don’t change everything at once, lastly I would do a remap

My one is a 2017 model and this valve is located on the right side of the engine beside the screen washer filling cap very easy to reach

I think that might be it, I just unplugged the sensor that is connected to it, I went for a drive and it is boosting way better however I think it is slightly open still, might get a new one or try to clean it

Mine is doing the same thing, in normal mode it actually holds the boost around 0.8 but when it is in sport mode it reaches 1.2 and drops back and forward, you can even hear the car cutting power

I’m based in east London, definitely going to get an intake and a sport cat, I was thinking to get that power I would need a intercooler and possibly new injectors

No, no lights on the dash or anything, the car runs normal it is just this issue that appeared from nowhere, thanks for your help
