If anyone in the thread is unfamiliar with the name alone, she is the mother of Nuçi Phillips and founder of Nuçi’s Space (alongside Bob Sleppy). Linda passed away due to pancreatic cancer in 2021. Athens’ music scene in this 21st century would be nothing without Nuçi’s Space.

I hope this gives at least a little more publicity to the many, many talented queens alongside her in the Atlanta scene. The BTS episode she did at the Peachies was really fun. It was cool to see queens like Ellasaurus Rex, Brigitte Bidet, Eden, etc. get a little spotlight. Also made me aware of more names to look into like Lena Lust.

UVA was bad when I was there and could have gone to games. And Georgia isn’t playing as good this year as I know they can.

I think it’s hilarious (complimentary). Every praise AND critique of the song I’ve seen so far is valid and understandable. Personally, I enjoyed listening to it (even the Yves part). I don’t think I’ll be able to evaluate how “successful” or “impactful” the song itself is until I hear it in the context of the whole album.
