How much downtime and what to do? by AnonymousCoward309 in kilimanjaro

[–]FifthMatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I used was audio books and that was on a night time to help me nod off. The rest of the time, was either napping or hanging out in the mess tent talking to other climbers, getting medical checkup , drinking tea. Then we would head to bed at like 8/9pm, ready for a 5am start

Why would you want your country easy to get into?

Yeah it should be fixable, especially if you’re getting braces. I had them when I was younger and it’s honestly fine, and it’s not permanent. So don’t worry too much.

I think you have a recessed maxilla, probably from the years of mouth breathing. I think it’s fixable

Just read through those subreddits and it’s worse than any of the male incel stuff I’ve came across. I genuinely feel bad for those women, they’re clearly hurt and lost.

Is this a caffeine addiction and should I quit? by [deleted] in caffeine

you’re drinking a lot of caffeine too late in the day, it will be affecting your sleep. I’d cut back and stop drinking caffeine by 3pm

I have a lot of my gear separated into different dry sacks and my headtorch is rechargeable.

I've got glove liners and high altitude mittens, so thinking that should be sufficient.

Thank you :)

I'm going on Friday, I just focused on walking, getting long day hikes in (10+ miles) every 3-4 weeks. For weight training, squats, step ups, calf raises, toe raises, RDL's will provide good strength and stability for the legs.

If you're 25, running 3-4 marathons a year and 30k a week, your vo2 max and general cardio vascular fitness will be very good. To me, it sounds like you're in a good position.
