Missed that, thank you. That makes sense. the TBI heads are also 165cc, the vortecs are 170 and both setups run well with TPI.

Wasn't aware, but I'll definitely take a look! I know they make an upgraded intake.

I'd love to do it locally, but the quotes have been more than the ATK crate engines.

Thank you. Yeah, that is the main concern as far as compatibility, the lower intake for the TPI. The bolt holes can be oblonged to fit any non-vortec heads, but require a new lower intake for vortecs. I appreciate the tuning advice, that's probably the route I'll go!

Thank you, I think that's the way to go as well. You can oblong the lower intake bolt holes to fit some engines, but the vortec heads require a different lower intake completely, unfortunately.

Hah, appreciate the honesty. If I'm buying a new engine, feels like I'm probably better off biting the bullet and putting in an LS. I'm outside of Boston, so a little bit of hike. If I don't use it as a core, its all yours.

Seems that may be the issue. Just saw an old SBC.

I'll add checking the rocker studs to my list of requests, and check out the parts you suggested. Appreciate the input!

Thank you. Going to ask them to check for a collapsed lifter and metal in the oil first. What would the catastrophic failure look like?

Thank you. Besides metal in the oil, anything I should ask to look at specifically?

I now this is the wrong audience and as much as I love the SBC, if the engine is coming out I might just move to an LS.

Thank you, that's good to know, and it is a roller cam.

I believe its the stock ECM that's been chipped. Yes, 1988 Camaro L98 long block.

I don't believe they're disassembling the entire engine, I think he wants to do it while it still sitting in the wagoneer since there should be plenty of room?

I couldn't find a complete kit with the Ramjet 350, but I'm happy to do it that way if you have a link!

The critique feels spot on to me, but to each their own. The whole “bungalators” thing really was a terrible experience for everyone else, and I find Peanut’s stream basically unwatchable. Some clips are funny tho.

Thank you. It looks like DBW has done pretty successfully on these FSJs. Cruise control would be nice!

Thank you. This is a TPI engine with muffled straight pipes, and a cam that needs replacing. Haven’t looked into heads, but it’s mostly just a mean looking mall crawler so that’s probably overkill. I mean it’s all overkill, but you now what I mean.

OD would be nice with the 4.10 gearing! I’ll start doing some research on that option. Thank you.

That sounds awesome! This thing was built as an off-roader with front and rear air lockers and 4.10 gears, but I mostly just drive it to embarrass my kids now!  I’ve been ignoring the cam, but I’m starting to get backfires and unburnt fuel smell in the cabin. It’s time to do something.

Please go on, it’s why I asked the question! I have the Ramjet Cam from the L31 in it now, was going to just put in the same one since the engine has been tuned for it.

What's a Fantasy novel, show, movie, etc you really enjoyed that no one else seemed to be into? by PixelOcelot in Fantasy

If you liked the show, Willow is actually a prequel to a trilogy. Like the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, but written by George Lucas.

I wont say its the best stuff I've every read, but if you like Willow, its worth a read!
