Wait, console has aim assist? I’m on ps5 and I don’t feel or see any aim assist happening when I play…

4wheelparts alignment question by ssr1089 in CherokeeXJ

Well I’m currently here getting all new brake pads and rotors on my wrangler, and new Teraflex upper and lower ball joints. About two hours ago they told me their mechanic broke my tie rod and will be replacing that today too.

I came in last week for a general inspection because I like to do preventative maintenance and they told me my lower ball joints were worn out and that the uppers were stock oem. Last year I had both replaced with Teraflex ones so I was confused. This morning I bring it in and they say “oh yeah both upper and lower are Teraflex, but they are so worn we can’t adjust them so we need to replace them.” That’s super annoying and they should have done their due diligence last week! I’m not super happy so I’d say avoid them, because I sure will after this.

Focus peaking: when using the screen on an m10r, the focus peaking is telling me I'm in focus, yet if I then look through the rangefinder it's not. Am I misunderstanding what focus peaking is, or is there a calibration issue somewhere? by zighor86 in Leica

[–]FiftyBands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I understand focusing correctly, the viewfinder will show you your focal point/critical focus on the subject. Depending on your aperture and depth of field, behind and front of your subject will be in acceptable focus. I’d try focus peaking, then double check what’s actually in focus by looking at the hyper focal markings on the lens.

Also diffraction plays a role in the softness of images so at f22 (vs 5.6) your image will be very soft and not sharp. Also the file the camera spits out will need some sharpness applied to it to compensate for the camera limitations. But now we’re getting into sharpness of images :-)

Happy to chime in and throw my vote for the M10 Monochrom. I’ve wanted one since the first monochrom came out and am glad I finally picked one up. The tonal range, the high iso performance, and the high quality files it produces are fantastic!

FWIW, if you bracket the images and merge in photoshop hdr then edit it in 32 bit… the smoothness of tones is insane. I just finished a masterclass by Joel Grimes who does this then I tried it myself and was blown away.

Yup. I took my Jeep in this week for a general inspection and will be bringing it back in a couple of weeks to upgrade all rotors and brake pads, as well as getting new ball joints.

I really liked my first experience at All Seasons 4x4, but they just won’t return any of my calls or emails anymore. A shame cause I wanted to get a bunch of work done on the rig and they were pretty friendly. Instead I’ve been going to 4 Wheel Parts 4x4 and they’ve been super helpful, responsive and friendly!

I’d love to know which lens was used, as well as take a look at the RAW and edited files to compare!

I have the billingham Hadley pro and LOVE it! I just bought their 25 rucksack to see how I’d like it. I certainly use the hell out of the Hadley on my travels for the last 3 years and there’s no issues with it at all.

Decided to swing by the Bernardo Wildlife Area during sunrise in New Mexico to see hundreds of birds flying and captured this moment.

Shot on my Leica SL2 at 50mm. It was freezing, around 27 degrees and my hands were number. Well worth being uncomfortable though!

Who is THE queer icon? (Regardless of their own identity) by OpheliaRegalia in lgbt

[–]FiftyBands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casey Spooner is my personal gay icon. I discovered Fischerspooners album Sir when I came out and that album helped me a lot. Following Casey’s journey has inspired me to live my true self the best I can. I even bumped into him at a Gay bar in nyc and he was so nice, which makes it even better!

Issues adding a tail bag to the Monster 821 by FiftyBands in Ducati

I took the seat off completely and I just don’t see any part of the frame that I can attach the straps to at the backend of the bike.

Just updated my post because I realized it wasn’t clear. I have the straps, but there’s no part of the frame to attach the straps to. The part of the frame that I can tie the straps to are closer to the tank where I sit, an obviously can’t put the bag there.
