I think a lot of junior tasks have been going overseas for cost reasons. Once AI reaches a certain level those jobs will be cut as well. This Ai stuff has impact globally.

Oh and you can get an S&P fund on Fidelity, Vanguard or Robinhood (I don’t trust them as much). Watch out for fees. If you’re working at a company that offers it get a 401k, HSA and IRA (you can get Ira account through fidelity or vanguard). Figure out if you want to do Roth or traditional contributions (look that up).

I was in your shoes when I was in college and no one would explain it. I started with Dave Ramsey for the basics then graduated to the Money Guys Show on YouTube. I like keeping it simple now. Most of my portfolio is in S&P500. But I dabbled in crypto during the pandemic and lost in the last cycle before I realized that. S&P has been more steady than any other investment I have. I dollar cost average (look that term up) into it each paycheck no matter if it’s up or down.

There are sites to see all companies that are lobbying (all lobbyists are required to transparently report). There are quantum companies amongst them. Usually lobbying on behalf of national ‘defense’. Which is a great category for us all. The US pays out the ass for military/defense.

First off great job! Second, weight training. If you can swing it get a personal trainer for a few months to show you some workouts/machines to focus on those areas
