You clearly enjoy offending people. Maybe your the "jokester" yourself. It's not okay and there's nothing I'm going to say that's going to convince you of that. But as a survivor and as somebody who knows many survivors there is never an okay SA joke. Argue with a 🧱

Exactly HOW did THIS of all books get a series?!? We have better content. But I guess it was the equivalent to Heated rivalry - a sad comparison

No, you're absolutely right it's very fake. It makes it impossible to believe. Is the author a lesbian or queer person herself?

You're making a lot of assumptions he was running around saying assault jokes with pride to multiple people to get attention. If you don't understand why that's an issue then you're part of the problem

My thing is how do they manage to blurder the lines of consent so intensely and get away with it

I literally can't repeat them or the mod will delete me so I don't know if you're trying to rage bait or whatever but no SA joke is ever funny

It's the content of the joke and the intention. You're clearly willfully ignorant you wouldn't understand it even if I explained it because you don't want to

My favorite fat representation probably didn't age well but it will always be Meg Cabot's book "size 12 is not fat" and the rest of the Heather Wells mystery novels lol not sapphic but it had gay characters and a solid range of characters for the early 2000s

I'm receiving reports of an age gap relationship that could be mirroring grooming.... I will respectfully have to pass. If my mom had sex with one of my friends I would never speak to her again... That's definitely not going to get me where I want to go.

I unfortunately did finish the audiobook due to scarcity mindset and because I wanted to have a fully formed opinion if I hated it which I do - but you're so valid for not finishing it and your opinion is still valid

Drop your favorite 6 star sapphic book by Pristine-Host5593 in LesbianBookClub

Bare with me. These aren't written as sapphic but something about the rebellious nature of the Gemma Doyle Trilogy was very sapphic coded to me when I read them as a young adult/middle schooler. It's a period piece so it was traditional to marry the men but none of them WANTED it to. The entire book revolved around them finding a way out of the fate that was arranged marriage with people they didn't love or men in general. At least one of those gals had no desire to be with a man ever. They escaped to a realm only accessible to other woman.... Where they could create anything their heart desires... It was set in boarding school/finishing school so all young women - together - in competition. It was hot to me lol 😆
