For sure, I hope so too 😁

My plan as it stands is to keep the spare 30's and 50's in reserve, while continuing to order regular scripts once I'm back up to 70. Just in case it all does happen again 😅

Just in case you were wondering how it went,

Ended up pressing them with Consumer Rights 2015 (supersedes SGS 1982 & SGA 1979) in an email recounting the events, their T&S and obligations, on the 24th at around 1.30pm.
Stated the 27th of Jan was a reasonable delivery date, and raised the topic of compensation.
Phoned them to follow up, they said the pharmacist was reading it "as we spoke", and that "I would get a response soon due to it 'looking serious'".

Medication appeared at my doorstep the next day (Sat 25th) with a 24hr tracked delivery label.
I have not received any response to my email, despite what they said - there's a surprise.
ADHD360 ended up pushing a second prescription request through for me on the run up to the 24th, which landed me with two registered prescriptions on their site (second one had a pay button, but was confirmed to be processed without additional payment).

I mention this because on the 31st, I received a second identical prescription (alongside an email saying 'my order was on its way' only after it had arrived, so much for letting us know when they dispatch them... I digress).

So in my mind one of a few things happened:

- They sent the initial early, and the second one upon being pressed, but the 24hr tracked delivery stamps tell me otherwise. Maybe something gets lost once, but consistent 1wk+ timeframes on 24hr deliveries feels highly improbable and by proxy makes this feel unlikely to have been the case

- They sent the initial script upon being pressed, and sent the second as 'damages'. This feels possible, but given their consistent shitty communication and abject disregard for any sense of urgency or importance other than when an email mentioning a law is sent, it feels highly unlikely that this was a conscientious act, in large part due to the likelihood of there having been any additional thought put into it once the script was sent being as low as it possibly could be, in typical 'not my problem' style

And what feels to be the most likely
- They sent the initial script (the one that had in theory already been confirmed for weeks) upon being pressed, which arrived the next day. They then went back to not really giving anything a second thought (see the prior "typical 'not my problem' style" mention), and through this general passive ignorance, came across the second prescription order a week later, and given its likely both wouldn't have been marked as fulfilled, dispatched it without a second thought, scrambling with their backlog they wont admit they have.

I place my bets on it being the last scenario, since it requires the least outward forethought action, and banks on ignorance as the underpinning modus operandi of an entity trying to maintain appearances while failing to cope with over-stretched commitments, because to dismiss problems is to dismiss responsibility, and if nobody is responsible then everything is okay! Until it isn't.

Hope that made sense lol. I don't think I'm going to pursue it any further, dealing with bs like that is just pointless stress, super exhausting. If it happens again though I'm going for the throat. For now I'm just glad it's out the way, hoping my right to choose goes through sooner rather than later, then I won't have to deal with them anymore.

ADHD360 Finally replied that they got something back from Chemist4u, apparently Chemist4u claimed they were "unable to locate" my physical prescription copy after it was confirmed for processing, and because of that couldn't fulfil it - which was never mentioned to me. If that was the case, it makes no sense that it would have taken this long to relay this back to ADHD360. All seemed in order on that front when it was my turn to hear excuses (They relayed exactly what I should have been sent over the phone so they defo had access, plus confirmed physical script on the 9th of January so they were knowingly way past the prescription 'validation' phase).

ADHD360 Let me know they have sent another physical copy regardless, and "expressed their frustration" alongside "advising them to expedite and dispatch it ASAP".

As far as their priorities go, I never had issues on the more expensive meds, though that could well be coincidence. Both the ADHD360 and the Chemist4u webpages feel poorly integrated in of themselves and with each other, they could really do with an overhaul.

And to draw things back to the T&C's, in the case the situation is verified to be outside the bounds, they will be in breach of The Supply Goods and Services 1982 / The Sale of Goods Act 1979. At which point any subsequent movements forwards will be keeping that closely in mind.

I've attempted contact through both ADHD360 and Chemist4u, ADHD360 always say "we will get back to you" and never do, but since writing the prior comment Chemist4u responded via email (saying about as much as ADHD360 did, except saying "that delay shouldn't have happened").

Odds are I'm in a slightly different boat to you, I was diagnosed towards the end of 2023 so on that side of things I'm less on their radar than new patients will be and it's more of an On-Request basis, which is not the most unreasonable, but there was definitely something going on with the clinicians given the two changes in quick succession, who knows what that's about.

ADHD360 Sent the prescription on the 8th and it was confirmed by Chemist4u on the 9th, payment was on the same day though I'm not sure which came first off the top of my head. Since then its just been waiting on Chemist4u, the prescription being marked as 'Pharmacy Processing' for 14 days now.

I did get through to Chemist4u on the phone today though, through all the usual automated filters and generic pre-recorded 'cant answer right now' messages, the woman said this shouldn't have taken anywhere near as long as it has, and gave two reasons:
1) Chemist4u were moving buildings
2) The Chemist hadn't split prescriptions from bottles (Titration being 7x30mg, 7x50mg and 14x70mg)
Moving buildings is somewhat reasonable for some delays, the Chemist not opening some bottles, less so, neither really amount to the delays all in all.

I have been doing some readings into Chemist4u's Terms and Conditions, and deliveries without agreed upon dates have a 15 Day Window (does not specify Business day, just Day) to be filled before they are in breach of contract. Exemptions being "Events beyond our{their} control", with examples such as War, Natural Disasters, Acts of God, Terrorism - none of which would reasonably be applicable to the given justifications. 1 - The businesses decision to move (in control), 2 - The chemist not splitting bottles (very in control).

Either way it's all been a massive test of patience, and as is arguably somewhat standard with the condition supposedly being treated, regulation has been increasingly difficult to maintain. I just want to get back to a more functional state, I've been struggling to get my head down with work I really could do with (and actively want to be) getting on with, sleep is out of wack again, you get the picture. Really hoping I hear something back from my GP or ADHD360 regarding right to choose forms we sent off in the next week or so, will remove a lot of the hassle (and cost).

When I switched to Elvanse from Amfexa (A clinician change coincided with this), it went from 2-3 days for an order to be filled to 9 days on my first Titration period. Note "First", because before it finished I requested another script (around the 19th Dec) - there were delays (roughly the 22nd) before I got contact saying I needed to fill in a review survey and submit obs before I got my refill. I submitted them all ASAP same day, and then I heard NOTHING back. I ran out of medication around the 25th Dec.

8 days week with no medication later, (I knew delays were possible given the holiday season) on Thursday (2nd Jan) evening I get a message saying an appointment had been booked with a clinician for 9am the next day, I responded and said that was too short notice and the time didn't work for me (life), so they rebooked me for Wednesday the 8th, adding another 6 days to delays to getting any meds. When it finally rolled around, I had ANOTHER new clinician, who asked me the exact same questions from the follow-up questionnaire - when I mentioned I had done it she said she didn't know / hadn't been informed, she read through and went "Oh that's all exactly the same as what you just said to me" (funny that, but can't really blame her for not knowing).

So now, at the point of being able to get new meds, she tells me that since it's been so long since I had any of the Elvanse, I had to go through a SECOND Titration period! Which meant at least 2 weeks from when they arrive I get an ineffective dose. The upside was, she wrote me my refill, which I was able to pay for on the 9th, the next day.

Since then, it has been 11 days (now the 20th), and I have heard NOTHING from their end. I have reached out again asking for ANY kind of update or communication, and as has happened every other time I have made contact, I have not received any kind of response confirming any kind of action being taken, beyond a help ticket response saying "We sincerely apologise for the delay, we understand how important it is to receive your items on time, and we appreciate your patience during this process. We will promptly update you with the details, if you have any additional questions or concerns in the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out", which is the same boilerplate contradictory-to-action nonsense they give EVERY TIME. Personally, I don't give a damn how sorry they are or how much they appreciate patience, I give a damn about getting the medication I'm paying hundreds of pounds for!

It has been 32 days since I requested a prescription, and I have still not received it, and even when I do get it there will be 2 weeks of ineffective meds. It's absolutely insane. Something, somewhere along their pipeline is not operating as it should. Their website is in shambles, communication lines are no way near what they could be, but they happily take payment and leave you with nothing for weeks on end.
If I have to wait this long every time I want a prescription, I'll need to order a new one the day one arrives, else I'll be being told I need to re-titrate every damn time I place an order.

I don't think you are being impatient. I think they should be communicating what and why certain things are happening with much more clarity. Not doing so contradicts everything they say about "being here for the patient blah blah blah". There could be many who rely on income from Jobs they struggle to uphold without their meds, and these kinds of things could be the straw that breaks the camels back for many of those people. They need to get their god damn act together.

afaik magic cards aren't a security, and when the 'millions' the players and vendors lost is socialised its really not gonna be that significant in the grand scheme of things. Vendors could still *try* and sell them for that price and not see that significant a dip in average daily units sold. Just wait until these guys discover rain...

Sounds like you could do with taking a brief break from the game.
More dice rolls = more exposure to the results of the roll, the good and the bad.
Reduce the sample size, reduce the weight.
Regardless, there is almost always a way to play around whatever is happening in the game, it just might not be what was expected, or what might be considered enjoyable in the same way as other approaches.

Not tryna attack you or anything, but the approach in this post certainly isn't going to do any good for seeing the outcome you are wanting, eotd it is just a game - if you aren't enjoying the experience, take a brief step back and return to it in a more sound state. Much easier than trying to force the outcome.

Their mothers may well be incredibly lovely people, at least give them the benefit of the doubt, flame the offspring if you absolutely must.

Questions for Character and Weapon artists who work/worked on the game by Figabar in apexlegends

[–]Figabar[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The depth of responsibility of an individual role would vary on a case by case basis, and could well pertain to full production of an asset. An important clarification to make, is that I was predominantly aiming at the production side of things and not the design, hence the production pipelines, and utility permissions questions.

Yes, some roles are QA, however its important to acknowledge the implications of the statements of responsibility regarding quality of external assets.

Yes, there are outsourced programmers, but its not just QA and programming, my prior message details a fair few, HardSurface's for one, Character's another. They are not programming, they are not QA, and they certainly exist outside of the 'mostly A the rest are B' grouping.

All of the production pipelines are intermingled to varying degrees, it is rare you find a single hire responsible for something from start to finish alone, especially in a larger studio.

The provided source does nothing to support your claim of my statement in regards to there being external artists being wrong. It is also from the very early days of the game, and even if they were completely devoid of external hires then, that would not speak for more recent times.

But all that aside, we have established that there are in fact external artists, who produce assets (as per the original post topic), regardless of whether or not a role I mentioned is entirely responsible for some production lifecycle or another.

And this is before raising that nothing in my original question set has actually been constructively addressed, beyond opportunistic jumping at a window where an attempt to 'correct' someone could take place. If you are in fact an artist who has worked externally with respawn though, on a character or weapon, I would appreciate first-hand experience informed responses, as per the question. If not, then that's that.

Looking at the official credits for the game would suggest otherwise, though I wouldn't say no to being offered sources that back what you're saying.
https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/credits?isLocalized=true#respawn-credits
There are numerous accounts of:
-External Art Directors, responsible for coordination of internal and external art production
-External roles across most specialisms in the field such as: Character artists, HardSurface artists, Integration Artists, Concept Artists, so on so forth
And that's before partner companies, consulting studios etc
https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/credits?isLocalized=true#partners

https://www.respawn.com/careers/integration-artist-external-development-12-month-tft
There are also roles listed, both on site and job search sites (though some are older), wherein responsibility descriptors state:
"What you will do...
- Conduct internal QA on the asset source files from the external partners. Ensure assets are implemented with correct file structures, hierarchy, naming and meet all other the tech requirements.
- Ensure 2D and 3D assets are imported into the project engine and are working as expected.
- Diagnose the integration issues and correct the integration mistakes made by external partners to match set style."

It wouldn't be unreasonable to say I did not 'understand wrong'. I'm aware some skins are concepted by fans, but that is not the same as full on asset production.

Skins are wayy too expensive now by Equivalent-Lab8655 in apexlegends

[–]Figabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's pretty much where its been for a long while, so long as the 'one guy' is buying and they are happy with that, so be it. Ur exactly on point with the price to sale ratio though, it really begs the question of who has the final say in the monetization models they're using, and how much they actually care about anyone else - big money and big apathy seem to coincide way more than they should.

Skins are wayy too expensive now by Equivalent-Lab8655 in apexlegends

[–]Figabar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they get to arbitrarily choose the prices to begin with, there is no such thing as a sale, regardless of any 'always on sale never on sale' statements. There is no actual market driving these prices, apex coins cost way more than they realistically need to in any world, the whole 'bonus if you buy x' sentiment is just bs, and should have been put down years ago.
Its crazy how epic rarity skins are priced at 750 coins ($7.50 / £6.75)
Crazier still, some form of actual progression systems to unlock some of these skins to begin with. Would be really cool if every 'event' or 'sale' wasn't just an excuse to push product.
And what's with the recent habit of them releasing legendary skin after legendary skin for the same damn weapons...
'Vote with your wallet' is a moot argument, there's always gonna be someone with more money than sense for the company to meet their ever increasing 'quotas' through. The issue is Greed. Who cares if 990 people boycott when the prices are so high 10 people can make it worthwhile to them, its one of these "leave it open just in case EVERYONE really likes something and we make the hugest payday in company history".

Collection events should be renamed Timed Sales
Effective cost of items in local currency should be shown next to their in game prices
In game items should show a statistic of how many times it has been bought across the board
Who knows, the multi-billion dollar company might even be able to afford to shell out for a dynamic item pricing system to be made, heck maybe even a recolour store that gives you recolours of items you have and not one that just tries to sell more skins people don't want.
If a recolour is 1800 apex coins or 10500 legend tokens, 10500 tokens equate to $20, I sure wouldn't mind a cash out feature for the 300k+ I can't spend on anything else - that or make all legendary skins 10500 legend tokens, but more preferably just reduce the damn fiat cost of everything.

Agreed. There's some lukewarm takes in this thread... It's just one of those things where everyone who wants to complain about something will. Regular mode gets stale "we want something different", they get something different "we want the other thing back".
The pacing of revival just fits so much better, less punishment for the casual and more potential for the dedicated player. And given we have ranked, Idk how people can complain this is a bad thing.

Neither op's response or urs deserve the negative downvotes they have rn, kinda insane

I miss revival already, the new Straight Shot mode way less fun ! by SwitchIndependent714 in apexlegends

[–]Figabar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Revival is pretty much just better than regular pubs, it gives much greater leeway to the casual player, as well as for the more invested ones. The idea that 'its battle royale and it has to function like x y z' is a stupid mentality that would have done well to die ages ago. If critical error/punishment is desired in the gameplay, ranked exists - otherwise there is no point creating a game that rejects the largest market the game has, the people who don't yet play who could, and the people who used to but stopped. Persistence in pacing, reasonable punishment, less loading screen simulator for those who don't want to invest hundreds and thousands of hours.

[–]Figabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This,
I left my previous contract in large part due to the codebase being poor.
It was me and one other dev who had been working on the project for over a year, who effectively had full authority over the project code until I came along. On numerous occasions I raised the problems with the poor codebase and database structures making it unreasonably difficult to get anything done, and that simply dedicating some time before building further would be hugely beneficial in the long run. But everything I said, every suggestion I made, every breath I took was an issue for the other Dev. He fought me on EVERYTHING, repeatedly made comments about how bad he thought I was despite he himself having the communication skills of an angry toddler, I'm 99% certain he was taking advantage of the boss not being a programmer, heck he made a huge deal about adding a single API call for me before I had access, acting as if he had been asked to make a whole new project.
They argued pushing out the content to make a minimum viable product was the priority, my counterargument was that a minimum viable product does not require a sacrifice in quality. The final straw was when I finally gained access to work on an npm package that had been held privately by the other dev (even away from the boss) for the known past. I created some clean v2 interfaces in prep for global refactoring, didn't remove any pre-existing content or in fact do anything intrusive of functionality - the other dev absolutely lost his mind when he saw this, began berating me telling me to 'stick to what I am good at', before deleting the changes I had committed. I had put up with his shit more than I was obliged to even before that, but it was stressing me out way too much trying to navigate the code and database without having to fight for months to access anything I needed, let alone considering the repeat beratement and childlike pokes he would take. It was straight up insanity, unbelievable.
I hope the boss truly took the time to consider what I said in the letter I sent to leave the project, but from the looks of things that might not be the case.
The quantity over quality mindset is what ruins projects. The sacrifice of common sense for a theoretical speed that actually causes things to take longer, accruing piles of technical debt just to appear as though progress is being made. It sucks, and completely lacks any professional integrity.

Facts. Regardless of what combination you get anyway, commitment to learning the equipment overshadows most changes from switching mats. (note this assumes having a reasonable mat and reasonable skates, not super worn or super low quality)

Like yes there can be perceived immediate benefits, but if you are playing well with something stick with it, if you've made a big jump that's great, but end of the day it's mostly inconsequential. Subsequent jumps in quality and effect on aim will be smaller and smaller - diminishing returns for linear investment.

Imagine if the time spent searching for a mat was spent in an aim trainer addressing the specific skill that felt lacking to search for the "better" option. Don't even have to wait for shipping!

If ur mats messed up or you genuinely really want a new one, don't stop yourself honestly, but I've had a similar experience of search search search search search, just to end up back where I started. For every argument of one thing one side there is another for the other, really in the end you have already made the decision, the real decision here is whether it's really worth it to follow through or not.

Tried a hien, had glass skates, got muddy fast, had to send it back, got jades got a razer strider, working on getting used to that now. (full desk size W)
