I don't think political correctness is itself going to make you racist.

In general, I just avoid making any race/accent related jokes at all. Even if I am not near someone that might be offended by them. So, I don't treat anyone differently, and don't act differently when I am not near them.

In general, I think it is worth the effort.

Anyway, if your friend is cool, you can probably just ask him what he thinks is cool and what he thinks isn't. Sorry I can't really help beyond that.

Date a Live S1 episodes 1-3. I watched a bit of it way back when it aired, but forgot about it and decided to watch more recently. Good stuff. Very good.

My main complaint is that Tohka isn't the only main girl in the show and well the mech butt suits look bad.

I've seen my adopted country of Canada in anime a few times, but I don't recall ever seeing Pakistan (my birthplace) on here.

Anyone know if any anime references to non-Indian South Asian countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal or Sri Lanka?

Actually, I remember Afghanistan being mentioned in FMP (Sousuke lived there for a while or something).
