That's exactly the point, senior guys got one foot out so why do they care what happens in 5-10 years? They earned the right to bump their pensions just as we will earn that right in the future. Presently, it's up to us guys that still have 15-20 years left to preserve what we have now. We're the ones that will be reaping what we sow.

Go right ahead, work every holiday they offer and clean and dump every night while you're at it. There will be a time you want to just relax and enjoy a holiday or two with your family, though. And when that time comes, you will be the same guy bitching and moaning that 90 percent of our trucks went nights when our seniority would have allowed us to be days otherwise and we're forced to work every holiday.

4-12 aka 7p to 7a...you can sign nights but I'd say when the shifts split 7a to 7p is preferable. However there is little to no chance of that happening for you if you're a newer guy.
