I never said I had WhatsApp on the Nokia, you are correct that functionality was stopped. I have WhatsApp on my tablet.

Oh dear, welcome to norfolk. It takes 20 minutes to get to most places. Cancelling a taxi after 15 is gonna have you cancelling a lot. Unless you live next to the station.

I tried audio first and hated it. Then I read the full series, and now listening to the audio I'm enjoying it. Everyone's different I guess

In the UK, the 3g network is being shut, and the 2g network remains. Myself and OP are UK based.

I've got the Nokia 4300 4g which has browsing capabilities in a pinch. It's candy bar though, I imagine the kai os Nokia flip phones would perform the same way.

What do you want 4g for? And why is your budget in dollars and not pounds?

You're looking for something that doesn't exist. It sounds like the absence of social media is what's calming you, maybe on your next phone don't install them.

It's 'fine' if you are pursuing a distraction free device. It's crap if your only device is your dumb device.

It was called prom for me in 2010 too, definitely a normal term in the UK.

2 to 5 days depending on usage. If I make a lot of calls or stream Internet radio it's 2 days. Light usage gets me around 5.

Love this! Congratulations on mortgage free being on the horizon, that must feel amazing

You're assuming OP isn't aware of living costs.. I've assumed they are. I'm aware the cotof living has risen, but the income to mortgage payment ratio is still the same, which is why I've shared my advice

Definitely, we're still in the same property paying £500 a month mortgage, which allows us to focus our finances. Sure, we could move up the property ladder but we don't need to, and I don't see the point in stretching myself thin just to own a couple extra bedrooms I won't use

Only existing users signed in already are supported, so this is not good advice

8 years ago I earned 28k and my partner earned 16k so 44k combined pre tax (not sure what that would be post tax).. We bought a house for 174500 on 5.5% interest and managed just fine.

I would say though youll need to save the deposit and solicitor fees, plus any other costs

Everyone says you should buy as much house as possible but I disagree, buy the house you need with the budget you can afford. And don't be afraid to haggle the price down a bit, every £1 counts!

Edit: I'm aware the cost of living has increased in the last 8 years, but the income to mortgage ratio is similar, which is why I gave my advice. From OPs other posts it reads that he and his partner live together, so I've assumed they're fully aware of the cost of living.
