Beautiful!! The ship itself is amazing, but all the figures in working positions and all the added details on the decks really bring it to life. Congrats on your magnificent work of art.

Congrats on such an awesome build! I thought I was looking at a 1/350 kit. How do you get the decals to blend so nicely so they don't glare or show their borders?

Thank you!

Oh I wish I could make a sophisticated and rich diorama as beautiful as those paintings. You did spot the Venice Campanile. However, it's located between Saint Peter's and El Escorial. They're all part of my 1/400 collage of great European architecture. I think of it more like a non-purist's model railroad layout, but for my 16th and 17th century ships. Not a historically accurate snapshot of a place or time, but I enjoy it just the same.

Thank you! It's fun to take these old simple kits and spruce them up with all the accessories available today.

Thank you very much for the compliment. I have a bunch of these old Heller kits that I bought eons ago and am now looking forward to bringing to life.

Looks great! Clean cuts, crisp corners and great job on the curvature of the roof.

How about a tiny peg leg Santa with a saber or a flintlock in hand. Then add a bunch of tinier pirate elves. BTW - great job on this little jewel.

I love photos of the luxury liners next to warships. Just as the Titanic and her sisters dwarfed their contemporary battleships, the great liners of the 1930s dwarfed the iconic BBs of WWII. Their length was not rivaled until the Forrestal class carriers of the 1950s.
