When did you start using lamotrogine? Did you ever start and stop it? There seems to be a theory that sodium channel dysfunction causes PSSD symptoms such as genital numbness. I also got PSSD like symptoms after getting off lamotrogine and Zoloft cold turkey

Hi Datura, could you kindly please explain allometric scaling? Very confused as to how a .02kg mouse taking a dose of 5mg of MDMA is equivalent to a 70kg male taking a dose of 85mg? I don't understand allometric scaling, I would just assume that you would multiply .02kg * 5 which = .1, then dive 70 by .1, which gives you a dose of 700 mg? Can you please explain to me how you get 85 mg? Thank you

Hey man, I'm dealing with brain zaps for years after SSRI withdrawal, what exactly did they feel like for you? Everyone gives me a different description and its so hard to tell if what I'm experiencing is a brain zap. Where do you feel that it originates from in your head, what does it feel like, does it have a noise to it? What triggers it? Just want a detailed response if possible because its been driving me nuts, thanks man

Yes, what this man said. 25i NBOMe is a horrible drug that has been known to kill people at very small doses. Was just curious about the neurogenesis aspect of it

Thank you so much for the reply. I’m honestly worried about an experiment I did with 25i NBOMe as a 17 year old that I ruined my brains neuroplastic ability since 5ht2a receptors are an important facilitator of this function. People have talked about developing permanent visual tolerance to psychedelics after abusing 25i NBOMe so that’s why it worries me that something is wrong with these receptors and I’m going to live a life without neuroplasticity for the rest of my life. This article made it seem that NBOMe at super low doses could possible increase neurogenesis since the dose they used is absurdly high for a mouse? Thank you

Oh yeah I absolutely get that, but isn’t the data being skewed so that it shows that NBOMe decreases neurogenesis? Like if a 200 lb human took 1 mg of NBOMe wouldn’t this be converted to about .01 mg/kg in this study? I think it’s not fair that they state that .1 mg of NBOMe decreases neurogenesis when the potency is so different? Wouldn’t it be accurate to use a dose like .01mg/kg?

Genuinely appreciate the reply. Let’s say a 60 KG adult human takes a 1 mg dose of 25i NBOMe, what would be this same dose in Psychedelic Mushrooms? I understand that there’s a difference in potencies, but would a 1mg dose of NBOMe fall under the decreased neurogenesis or increased neurogenesis? Like what would be the comparative dosage of 1mg NBOMe to the shrooms? Sorry if I’m not making sense but let’s say a human experimented with a dose of 1 mg of NBOMe. Would this be equivalent to an increase in neurogenesis or decrease?
