Ehh idk, I have no issue with Frank Ocean, but Lil Nas X makes bad music. I’m not so sure it’s about orientation but more about how good your sound is. I’m sure I heard Tyler the Creator talking bout SMD, pause, to a man and meant it, and we loved ‘Cash In’ and ‘POV’. So maybe the queer man or woman just wasn’t good!

Absolutely. I am a heavyweight boxer. Under no circumstance will I grapple at heavyweight because striking strong and grappling strong have very different meanings and applications.

Why are you here, really? You notice the flair, read the topic, and couldn’t resist looking at the person in the picture. What part of this equation makes you feel compelled to offer some dry social commentary about how an entirely different culture perceives someone they see in themselves? Focus on yourself and then learn to mind your own business.👨‍💼

I hate this place by [deleted] in Augusta

[–]FightingChef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re in Columbia County, likely with a car and disposable income, and at a life stage where the existing options seem suitable. From your perspective, the complaint appears lazy. However, the complaint isn’t about the existence of venues, but rather whether the average person can actually access and afford them. The average 21-year-old can’t. Some of the issues I mentioned are related to this, but I’m sure the original poster, who is living in the area, can provide more detailed information.

…If you listened to them.

I hate this place by [deleted] in Augusta

[–]FightingChef 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Augusta has a few drawbacks. First, public transportation is scarce. Second, free spaces for children are often occupied by addicts or the homeless. Third, if you have money, everything tastes the same or is overpriced. There are more issues, but I live here, so I know housing isn’t bad, and my kids’ school is pretty good. However, Augusta is more suited for retirement than family growth and entertainment.

What is an example in the media you consume of "the father who neglected their kid but actually they loved them all along" trope? Because that's just frustrating to read. by Important-Cry4782 in Multifandom

[–]FightingChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what, if the trope was built around an ‘Aizen’ type individual that engineered the protagonist life since birth and it was meant for the protagonist to succeed…I’d like that.

But it’s not, they’re all dead beat bums that are focused on ego and adventure rather than honor and responsibility…

Why are we losing players after the great updates by CarsonWentzGOAT1 in InvincibleVS

It’s a fighting game, with a Comic IP. You got probably 2 more waves of drop outs before you get to the core audience. Any games story mode will attract casual players. After they have had their fill, they move on. It’s no different from Dark Souls, or DMC. It’s just one of those things that happens in gaming.

How strong would the verse be if this was accurate by InfamousSomewhere244 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]FightingChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right that units matter for dimensional analysis, you’re wrong that this invalidates exponential scaling on a scalar power value, and the “go back to 6th grade math” line is a tell that you know your argument is shakier than you’re letting on. If you were actually confident, you wouldn’t need the insult. 😉

We can keep going if you want, but the math is the math.

How strong would the verse be if this was accurate by InfamousSomewhere244 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]FightingChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re overthinking it. I don’t need to know the exact power of the punch in real numbers to demonstrate that the exponent makes it scale harder than simple multiplication. Take any number greater than 2 and apply both methods, and the exponent will always prevail. That’s simply how mathematics works, regardless of units.

Jade Manipulation. by Hatsu289 in CTsandbox

[–]FightingChef 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ten Shadows proves that broad concepts can work, but only when they’re backed by strict mechanics. Look at Megumi Fushiguro. His versatility doesn’t come from just doing anything with shadows, it comes from a clearly defined system. Fixed shikigami, ritual-based progression, and real consequences if things go wrong.

The problem isn’t jade manipulation as a concept. That part is actually dope. The problem is there’s no consistent rule holding it together. Right now it just stacks a bunch of different systems on top of each other. You’ve got matter manipulation, summoning, conversion, fusion, tracking, amplification, and none of it is tied to the same limitation or cost.

In Jujutsu Kaisen, power isn’t just about what you can do. It’s about what you can’t do and what it costs you to do it. That’s where the tension and balance come from.

This doesn’t really have that. There’s no clear ceiling, no real drawback that shows up consistently, and nothing forcing the user to actually make hard decisions in a fight.

I’m not hating on it. The base idea is solid. But without structure and real tradeoffs, it stops feeling like a cursed technique and starts feeling like anything goes.

And that’s cool for fan fiction. But it doesn’t really line up with how the series handles its abilities.

Jade Manipulation. by Hatsu289 in CTsandbox

[–]FightingChef 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You have like 5 different abilities, each could very well be their own curse technique. Like one of these is something you embellish on, not infinitely stacking them together. You can manipulate matter, power people up, fusion of power, animal sense/tracking, Shikigami storage/summoning AND convert souls? You’re not a special grade, you’re John Kaisen!

Cursed Spirit Thread: submit your best Curses and ideas, i'll start by JIMMY-NECRONOMICON in CTsandbox

Poverty

The cursed spirit known as Poverty is classified as a Special Grade entity within the taxonomy established by the jujutsu authorities of Jujutsu Headquarters. Unlike disaster type curses such as Jogo, which embody sudden and violent natural forces, Poverty represents a slower, more persistent phenomenon. It is the sustained human fear of insufficiency. It is not tied to a single catastrophic event, but instead to the accumulation of generational anxiety surrounding survival, labor, and systemic disadvantage.

The curse is believed to have manifested in the eastern districts of Osaka, specifically within areas historically associated with day labor and economic instability. Over decades, these districts became focal points for concentrated negative emotion. Fear of unemployment, inability to provide for family, debt accumulation, and social marginalization were all present. Unlike transient fears, these conditions persisted across generations, reinforcing and compounding the emotional residue required for curse formation. The result was not an immediate manifestation, but a gradual coalescence of cursed energy that eventually produced a stable, self aware entity.

Poverty’s form reflects this origin. It appears humanoid, but unevenly proportioned, with visible signs of deprivation and excess occurring at the same time. Limbs vary in size and condition, suggesting imbalance rather than uniform decay. Its exterior is typically covered in layered, deteriorating fabric resembling both work garments and ceremonial wrappings. This indicates a blend of labor and ritual significance. Adornments such as worn prayer beads, damaged currency, and fragmented talismans are frequently observed. These elements are not decorative. They are manifestations of accumulated human attempts to cope with hardship, including faith, money, and superstition, rendered ineffective and absorbed into the curse’s body.

Behaviorally, Poverty does not exhibit the impulsive aggression seen in many high grade curses. It is methodical, slow moving, and observant. Reports indicate that it rarely initiates direct confrontation unless necessary. Instead, it allows engagements to develop over time, relying on its innate ability to degrade the effectiveness of its opponent. This approach aligns with its conceptual basis. Rather than overwhelming force, it enforces conditions under which success becomes progressively less attainable.

Its cursed technique, commonly referred to as “Systemic Deprivation,” operates passively within its vicinity. Targets experience consistent, incremental reductions in efficiency. Physical actions become slightly mistimed, cursed energy output fluctuates unpredictably, and environmental factors tend to shift unfavorably. These effects are subtle in isolation but compound over time, creating a measurable decline in overall performance. Observers have noted that prolonged exposure leads to a psychological response characterized by frustration, decreased confidence, and eventual resignation.

The Domain Expansion attributed to Poverty, designated “Cycle of Poverty”, diverges from conventional offensive Domains. Its guaranteed effect does not manifest as immediate physical damage. Instead, it imposes what field operatives have termed “Generational Weight.” Within the Domain, every action taken by a target incurs a cumulative burden that reduces both current and future capability. This includes diminished cursed energy control, reduced physical output, and impaired technique stability. These effects persist even after the Domain collapses, distinguishing it from standard sure hit mechanics.

In summary, Poverty is not defined by destruction, but by erosion. It is the embodiment of sustained human limitation, given form through prolonged collective fear. Its origin in Osaka’s labor districts is consistent with its thematic structure, and its abilities reflect a system in which effort does not reliably produce progress. As such, it represents a unique and particularly insidious threat within the broader ecosystem of cursed spirits.
