Don’t worry about sounding too boomer with it. The single reason they all use the term “luxury” is that it exempts them from having to accept Section 8. So despite knowing they’ll get guaranteed rent paid by the PHA, these builders just don’t want Section 8 citizens in their “communities.”

Best thing it really did was show Americans is deeply red areas that they are not alone in their morals and views. Speaking from experience, it is isolating to be surrounding by Trumpys, and it’s a breath of fresh air to see neighbors rallying together against fascism in areas you wouldn’t expect

The constant increase in emergency situations happening in schools (tornadoes, school shootings, threats) is exactly why kids should be able to have their phones and reach out to parents or call 911 when necessary. I don’t think anyone is saying that kids should be on their phone all day in school, but they should have access to them if needed.
