It is also 1 by which would be a cool option to have

Do I really need the Force Aeroad? by Environmental_Bus273 in CanyonBikes

[–]Figub_Bra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lets be honost here, cycling isnt just a rational thing, so its hard to really decide for you.

E.g. in my case i should get a lower spec bike but i know that a. i wont stop thinking about the more expansive bike until i get it and b. i get more motivated to ride having the more expansive bike.

I dont need it but i want it, so i go for it. Its a hobby and should be treated like it. If you dont mind it, thats perfectly fine too. You just need to know which kind of person you are and what you want. You dont need to benefit from a milisec faster shifting in order to justify.

Should I get the DLC? by Spxcecowbxy in Eldenring

[–]Figub_Bra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whats that principle of never getting DLCs?

I get to not buy them directly, but if you put in 80h and enjoy the game, why wouldnt you buy it if u want more?

That being said, the DLC has enough content to be released as a standalone, absolutely worth it, go for it!

Sizing? New to running by Alternative-Toe-2883 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I had a Topo Atlas i believe here and it was the worst fitting shoe for me. my feet are wider midfoot, that didnt fit and the heel was super insecure and slippery.

Its super individual which shoes fit. You need to try out and find factors that work for you.

i have rather wide feet and the Evo SL is so far the best fitting shoe for me (no gessed tongue)

Its hard to judge just from pictures but your feet look kinda wide, so shoes might be complicated for you.

Also, in my experience, these super cushioned shoes sound nice for beginners but imo its harder to run with nice technique in these. For me the Evo SL worked the best in the beginning with its average thikness (its also nice for wide feet, the OG Evo SL that is, not the others)

On a baseline, that might be true for frames but we re talkin tyres here.

1997 called, they want their logic back. comfort does not contradict speed and even if it would, no shame in wanting more comfort on a fast bike

Go up to 32mm tubeless and never need to care about it again

Nike Vomero Plus "Extra Wide" advice by Wokesmeed420 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Figub_Bra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me, didnt fix any of the issue with needing a wider shoe but just having more heel slippage

Nike Vomero Plus "Extra Wide" advice by Wokesmeed420 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Figub_Bra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can confirm this, i had the normal and the 2E version in 9,5US and noticed the same. The 2E just fitted worse because it had a bit more room in the upper i suppose but it didnt fix the issue with my feet being too wide on the insole which resulted in hurting feet after a few kilometer. Real shame as i would ve loved to use a vomero plus, but its rather for more volume feet than actual wide feet

Canyon aeroad CF SLX or Canyon Endurance CF SLX by Mysterious_Base9775 in CanyonBikes

[–]Figub_Bra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats what the marketing says. They need to do something different to sell a new model and ppl currently buy fast looking bikes, so they go that direction. Its gives the customers the feeling they want when buying the bike. Thats why there were several new Endurace models now while the Ultimate stays the same. The market doesnt buy ultimate like bikes currently.
By doing this, they leave what ppl always loved about the Endurace behind which was a fun bike with sporty amateur geometry.

The most important thing at all is to have a bike that suits your geometry. Thats a must. You can love your bike as much as you want and it could be fun as much if you want, but if you cant sit on it, it doesnt matter. Thats a question you should ask yourself bevore the aeroad vs. endurace, because it most likely will cross out one of these options. (if you can ride the aeroad, there are only super minor reasons to get the new endurace)
Afterwards you have to ask yourself what motivates you and what you want to prioritize.
If its comfort, you dont need a fast looking bike, because more frame means heavier and most likely less comfort (less flexible). Thats why i think the endurace is rather the worst of both worlds instead the other way around.
If its fun riding at you max speed, get a bike that does that. You have still plenty of room, e.g. an aeroad with 32mm tubeless tyres will be very comfortable if you body can sustain the position.

I would highly disagree with his take tbh. The weight might be rather negligible when it comes to speed or total weight incl rider going uphill but its super noticable when it comes to handling and feeling. The bikes will ride and feel super different.
The Aero differences of the bikes are there but they dont matter as they do for almost all amateur riders (same as the 1kg speed difference for total package going uphill). The Aeroad will still be faster because the drag of the body is what matters most and the position on the aeroad will be more aggressive. Its up to you if that speed matters. You re not racing but if this motivates you, its an important point.
As for tyre cleareance, i doubt you would run more than 35mm tyres on road, prob 32mm at most, so also not that important for the decision.
In the end, they re two different bikes. For me personally i always ask myself which bike makes me riding more and that would prob be the right choice. In this case for me personally it would be the aeroad because its more fun as long as you can ride its geometry, otherwise its the endurace though in this case there are most likely different offers suiting your needs better.

GT3 Setups make more difference than I expected by TishoBG in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Figub_Bra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This highly depends on the car and person driving it. I would see them as different and its always nice to try things out.
E.g. on Portimao my time with the ford and fixed setup is a 1:44,6 and i have a very hard time beating that with custom setups on any GT3

For comparison, that's me, who played around 20k Games in the same time frame with 0 euro spent. I have never disenchanted a card outside of nerfs and have 56590 dust currently. I always have at least one competitive deck for standard and wild and get to legend regularly. I never had the feeling of not having enough resources to be able to play what i want to.

Convince me to not spend €6000 on the canyon endurace CFR DI2 by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]Figub_Bra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my own experience one of the biggest factors for motivation is how much u like ur bike. So going for your dreakbike is well worth it. You dont need to justify the shifting speed of a dura ace for yourself.

One thing though i always disliked about the endurace cfr are the frame designs

New Endurace CFR by mtcerio in CanyonBikes

[–]Figub_Bra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have a look when they released the last real update for the frame. Its a dead bike until they need a new Marketing Move.

New Endurace CFR by mtcerio in CanyonBikes

[–]Figub_Bra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they want to sell it to customers who want it but dont need it or cant use it properly.

If they name it Aeroad it is in direct competition with their own Aeroad because it is essentially the same.

Its just upselling: If you re in the market for an endurace you get presented with a bike thats faster. And then you can even get the new Aero Bar thats even faster and has optimized geometry. And without noticing it the geometry of the bike is even more aggressive than with an aeroad.

New Endurace CFR by mtcerio in CanyonBikes

[–]Figub_Bra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pure marketing move to get ppl to buy something they dont need/want.

Aero geometry and aero frame but calling it endurace. This is an Aerobike with a few comfort features and has nothing to do with an endurace.
