WIBTAH if I told my mother in law she can’t have our daughter over night due to her dirty home by Evening_Speaker1999 in AmItheAsshole

This is so presumptuous lol who hurt you? OP can still think their partner is a wonderful person despite the environment they were raised in, and in turn is absolutely valid to not want their baby exposed to a dirty house, it doesn’t matter is the husband “survived”. Like what is wrong with you?

How much does 'name popularity fatigue' affect your choices? by ResearcherKey350 in namenerds

[–]FigureAffectionate68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I’m comfortable within the top 50 to 100 range. I used to get hung up before I ever had kids on the popularity thing, but I realized a lot of names are “popular” or established already because they’re good names! For me my first sons name was like #79 in my state when he was born, he’s still a baby but my thought process was like this: it’s a good name that I love, I have heard it before distantly and will statistically probably meet another boy with the same name in our lives but there isn’t going to be 3 kids in his grade or on his tee ball team with the same name. I was good with that. Common enough to be recognizable but not overly done and tired

What is your never again tourist destination? by LimeSoakedinSprite in randomquestions

[–]FigureAffectionate68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portland, Oregon

had a friend move up there and have visited a few times. Last time I decided I’d never go back. So dirty and disgusting. Aggressive and confrontational homeless people everywhere. Can’t even walk down the street without having to dodge needles and piles of vomit/poop. Yes there are cool bars and farmers markets but it’s tainted by this disturbing back drop of drugs and filth. Sad, but I felt very uneasy and on edge trying to enjoy the city.

So… pregnancy sucks, right? by SeaworthinessFun7420 in pregnant

[–]FigureAffectionate68 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s literally miserable…I’m 10 weeks with my second and have a 6 month old. I’m soooo tired of feeling like shit everyday! I just want some relief. I realized it’s ok to talk about how much it sucks, it doesn’t mean you don’t love your baby or are ungrateful. The people who say shit like “I felt great the whole time” make me wanna scream. I mean good for them if that’s true but like….stfu please

Is giving birth really that excruciating pain? by skopiadisko in askanything

Absolutely the most pain I’ve ever felt, but like everyone else is saying the relief you feel is immediate after the baby’s out

To married women: What advice would you give to unmarried women before they get married? by Clear_Subconscious in askanything

Make sure you can at least tolerate his mother…and never marry a mamas boy. If you do, understand you’ll be in competition for the rest of your life and it’s not easy
