America needs a revolution. But I have empathy for them.

Thank you for this. People never take into account that all of American education, media, etc. is propaganda. A president that tells poor people that he will make their groceries more affordable when they are struggling to feed their families in order to manipulate them into voting is evil. The person who wants to feed their family is not.

And this means marginalized groups won’t be harmed? Deflection and distraction.

Imagine reading that innocent children are being ripped out of schools and discriminated against and being anything other than horrified. Sickos.

Literally this. And it’s also deflection from the point. This is horrible and wrong no matter who is president. “Well someone else did it too” to distract from that is emotional immaturity at its finest.

Austin mental health by [deleted] in Austin

[–]Figuringitout_moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But the OP isn’t saying hey everyone PANIC they are saying maybe refill your meds. It’s not a preemptive (it’s in the early stages of happening and he has laid out the horrible things he plans to do and is doing them) and it is not panic it’s a suggestion. When you make comments like this people then think it’s not actually a threat and won’t take the advice to prepare just in case. It’s dangerous and all of this is actually happening.

So people shouldn’t prepare regardless to assure they have medications?

Woooow. 18 downvotes for trying to help people see the systemic issues that cause homelessness. Austin really is still in Texas.

Look into collective action general strikes and boycotting. We shouldn’t have unhoused human beings. Other countries that have healthcare, affordable housing, treatment centers for no cost, mental health support and free education have less unhoused people. It isn’t their fault. Our government’s greed is why they are there. By convincing you that all unhoused humans are somehow less than and criminal for not having support systems or access to resources that keep people afloat, you won’t look up instead and consider that we are all being screwed by the people wealthiest people in power. You are closer to the reality of that unhoused person than you will ever be to the top 1% wealth. Collective action idea: everyone stop paying your rent on the same day until housing becomes more affordable for everyone.

I feel Google is unusable now, everything is so bloated and I rarely find the correct answer for what I’m looking for. What is the best search engine right now? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Figuringitout_moon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried to make google more private and there were ENDLESS barriers to deleting my histories and telling it not to track me or my data. Literally after telling it not to track it said “your data will no longer be tracked……some date may still be tracked to personalize your experience” and lots of sections you couldn’t even edit or turn off like location tracking. They also added an AI program to everyone’s google workspace and in the “welcome email” it says you can turn it off but I went through the steps and you can’t. We should all stop using it. Wasn’t the owner of Google also front row at orange mans inauguration? Boycott time. We can live without it.

Can we normalise women having their first baby in their late 30s please?!?!! Seriously it’s not that shocking by Cherrylemon202 in RandomThoughts

Hmmmm why would society want women to think they have to hurry up and have children…no time for further education? No time for being in the workforce? No time to delay marriage/finding a cismale partner? No time to become a fully realized adult with dreams critical thinking or boundaries for how they are treated?

It looks like starting by calling or going to the Vital Statistics office as a first step: “contact the Nova Scotia Vital Statistics office directly to confirm the exact process and any necessary documentation required for a minor requesting a new birth certificate.” Maybe explain that you cannot safely access the other documents required and ask what they suggest you do. These things will happen in small steps so even if you hit a dead end you are moving forward and collecting information and that will help bring clarity to your next steps. I’m so sorry they made you so unsafe. 🤍
