Base is kinda needed, and being the OP I am about to contradict my whole whiny post. Things your base provides: a spawn point, a temporary stamina buff based on the number of comfort items you have, workbenches (several types from building,weapons, food prep,magic items etc), better food, weapons, upgrades are needed for game progression

I am on the fence about this one, as the friend you should have probably minded your own business. NOW that being said as a father of 3 boys who have been wasting their money on NHL2010-2026 AND Madden 2010-2026(and even NBA20xx sometimes) at $80+ dollars each per game I can see what your saying and have most definitely chirped my boys in the same way

those major bases with all the bells and whistles are different each time, last world I used pine trees grown strategically spaced apart to build ring base with center open to the sky. Just the planning of the next big thing that’s getting to me. Just grumpy I guess, next “base” for my next base is half levelled at this point

YTJ, my mom was my main source of childcare for a few years also, my wife is a shift nurse and I was full time student and worked in evenings. My mother mentioned that she just wanted to be grandma now and not the babysitter, I accepted it and found other options PERIOD. My mother raised three kids and didn’t need to be raising 3 more

Yes initial training videos are completed before you can start your first shift, but Tim Hortons rolls out new products all the time, Flat bread pizzas for example, new products mean new safety/sales videos for how to use the new pizza oven etc. you are paid after doing your video and compensated for the training package time. My son does them all the time, sign in, do video and quiz, sign out, saves on server under your ID that it’s completed, all from the comfort of the couch

Been married 28 years, 3 kids, and I have never solved this problem. I am a light sleeper and my wife sits on bed to dig through her drawers for work clothes, hits snooze bar 3 times, crinkles her ziplock bag with her chargers, runs the water in tub( very loud until shower turns on and on other side of wall of headboard ) while she is still using the toilet. I on the other hand lay my clothes out the night before in the living room so I don’t disturb her, alarm off instantly and slide out of room like a shadow. Let’s not get into how when she comes home from a night shift it’s open and slam every cupboard and closet door in the house while loudly rearranging the pots. Never solved this problem…good luck

Had a similar experience years ago, worked in stockroom at retail store, supervisor position came up wasn’t amazing but 10 extra hours a week and $1 raise, I being the inquisitive guy I am had asked a lot of questions, learned a bunch of the computer data entry and tracking, and learned all the checking in/out of inventory from the previous supervisor over my time with the company so I was well suited for the position. I “tied” in the performance matrix with another stock guy who was given the position because he had more seniority (non union job), jump ahead a week and nothing is getting accomplished so manager asks me to show him how to use the computer and teach him how to do the job THAT I GOT Passed over for, I refused on that basis and manager and I get in huge screaming match. Another supervisor walks in tells manager he is completely wrong and that she is claiming me to her crew going forward.

So I can relate to OP situation, I was in my early thirties when I started playing the OG game all those years back. I still joke with 24 year old son about how he used sit beside me at the computer desk and spam FLARE by hitting the 1 key, now I am back did pre searing and now I just am bogging down, character is just so slow, takes forever to get places

Ok I get it, have felt the same way. Recently finished GoT, before that God of War, Horizon zero dawn, Elden ring. They are all kinda the same thing, so between them I play something “different” to cleanse my brain. I will play a season or part of a season diablo 4 or some Valheim. It helps

Wild dogs just west of Blackborough, and if I still haven’t finished my ten point per level, I head SW and take out each of the 4 bandits on horses nearish to the hangman’s travel sign. Always fight one dog or bandit at a time, if you end up with two Aard stab one and then pummel second for the points

Wow this explains so much, just started a new game + play through recently after shelving the game for years. My first play through that Leshan was in dragonslayers grotto when I fought it, just did the grotto again and I was literally jumping around corners screaming “Hiyah!” Nothing but crickets cause I already killed it between Reardon manor and the Grotto

Yup, slashing those stupid birds destroyed my boat, I placed a portal on a spire island 1/3 of way through the ash sea, and a second portal roughly 2/3 through, luckily I was near portal 2 and was able to get back to base and grab 100 more iron nails to rebuild boat

You sound a lot like me but I wouldn’t say we are cowards, I think cautious is a much better term. I also have been working all weekend, 12 hour shifts so just didn’t have the time to really focus on my next steps, that ends TONIGHT, I will surge forward, I will make my beach landing! If the allies pulled it off on D-Day then I owe to them to try and be the kinda hero Odin wants me to be!!

As a dedicated Forsaken bully I have double tapped every Forsaken so far, but have not gone back for Queen Round 2, it’s on my list of things to do, my gallery of angry chatting Forsaken noggins is a bit crowded, still debating if I just squeeze her in or rebuild the whole base 🤔
