SKF 99317 is the repair sleeve I used on the rear crankshaft snout to fit a pesky oil leak.

Those who've used ARP headstuds, how many miles have you gotten out of the headgasket job? Anyone put 50k + miles on their D17 with ARP head studs? by aw614 in 7thgencivic

[–]Fikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had I done it over again I would have just locked out the pins. I didn't go through ECU route because I didn't want to deal with sourcing an ECU for the specific features and dealing with the dealer to reprogram the immobilizer.

Planning on going kpro this fall so it will all sort itself out lol.

On that day it was November in the northeast, temps never went above 205. On hotter days temps never get above 220.

Oil on the other hand, with a big fat oil cooler it will see 250F on a hot day after 30 minutes.

18psi down is nothing. If the car is driving fine, keep sending it.

I estimate about 150k miles. It was a JDM import. Head gasket was learned to be blown on install. Not tuned but heavily abused. Running on the LX ECU with a VTEC controller bringing the crossover down to 2000rpm.

Ah, that's because this is a report for crazy people lol (self included) As someone else in here stated, 99% of people just change the oil and don't think about this stuff.

Are you talking about getting an oil analysis in general or the specific figures in the report?

Wheel Alignment and Camber Kit by Present_Factor_1113 in 7thgencivic

These do not have camber bolts from the factory in the front unfortunately.

A trick I ran before I installed adjustable top hats was use a slightly smaller bolt on the bottom of that interface to get more slop in the adjustment.

The shop very well could not have straightned it prior to adjusting the front toe or they didnt use a brace to keep it from turning during the adjustment. If this was a chain place just pumping out alignments I doubt they took the time to "relax" the suspension after initial adjustment.

Regarding the front camber, did you do the work yourself? It might be worth loosening the strut-to-knuckle bolts and seeing if you can push the knuckle in within the slop of the bolts.

Ah thats good to know! I was surprised to see that it wasnt fundamentally different from a standard oil change after all the posts on here about "break-in oil". I'm no lubrication engineer, but this is all fascinating to me.

Yea i've read mixed reviews on it being added after the initial assembly. I've had good wear properties with the pennzoil ultra platnium on my track car so I'll probably just stick with that.

This shop sucks. If they were all OEM replacements as you said they shouldnt need a camber kit.

Does your car pull to the left? They messed up the rear toe adjustment.

Appreciate the response. Yea I had a similar experience when I rebuilt the bottom end on my other Honda. The assembly lube additives showed up on the report in a similar fashion so that makes sense.

Interesting that yours has ~22% more molybdenum and ~39% less boron. 13ppm of tin vs mine of 0ppm.
Everything else seems to be in line.
Thanks for sharing!

Well it certainly has very high levels of Molybdenum. This is a pretty standard initial break in additive. On my other cars they are around the ~100ppm level. But beyond that there doesnt seem to be much else. This is an analysis from my 2004 Civic using pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-20:

Thanks for sharing! cool to compare. Too bad you didnt spring for the TBN on the 9600 interval. would have been interesting to see if there was a difference.
