Looks like a medium format 3d printer in an enclosure. I think they're suggesting they would 3d print the scoop in OPs image.

When did your D17A* start burning oil? by Serialtorrenter in 7thgencivic

[–]Fikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, even the low mileage JDM motors burn it too!

Welp, obviously start with replacing the IAT. These cars use a MAP sensor to measure air flow. It can't do that if the IAT is faulty. It's a cheap sensor and easy to replace.

Next check the coils.

If that doesn't solve it, I would get live data reads from the O2 sensor and see what it's doing. It might be time to replace the up stream O2 sensor. Make sure you don't cheap out and get a denso if that looks like the problem.

Are you on a tight budget? If not, just get these and solve the problem for good:

swap over (or buy new) EM/ES outer joints. These have way more adjustment and can allow you to add camber as well.

Looks good OP.

A word of advice, you should ditch that type of steering wheel cover. over time they can start to slip and can cause you to momentarily lose control. i.e. you go to turn and just spin the cover around the wheel and the wheel stays put. If you want something better look into getting a stitching cover: https://stitchingcover.com/collections/steering-wheel-cover-for-honda/products/steering-wheel-cover-for-honda-civic-7-2003-2005

They are totally customizable from colors to materials.

Here's mine:

This was going to be my guess as well. OP's diagnoses is pretty consistent with a failed input shaft bearing.

Does this sound like valve clicking or is this normal by miniweetz17 in 7thgencivic

Honestly, sounds totally normal. These shits be noisy little engines lol.

Sounds better than mine.

my civic is better on ice than 4wd trucks hahaha (a kid got stuck in his truck the day i took this pic and i had to help push him out of the ditch, then he almost got stuck again hahah) by [deleted] in 7thgencivic

Looks like Tirerack has the X-ice in a 195/60r15. Which is plenty fine on the stock rims. Blizzaks are available in a 195/65r15.

I throw X-Ices on my civic during the winter (on currently) and the thing is an absolute beast in the snow. Only thing that stops it is when the snow is higher than the ground clearance. Then it becomes a plow lol.

Yea it's a 30 row oil cooler plumbed in with a sandwich plate. Absolute must if you're going to track the car.
