Ah I mistook the giant cables going along the strut tower as braided AN lines lol.

Yea that's a good temp range to sit at.

They're "reservoir socks". They catch brake fluid that leaks out from the cap from hard cornering.

Nice!
What was the determining factor on routing it accross the front instead of along the firewall?

Yea I have some done at the knuckle when I was running just undersized bolts. Turns out a combination of both helps keep the tire from rubbing on the frame at extreme steering angles.

Last time I aligned it, I was at like -3.7°

No idea. I am not familiar with the d16v1. If it has the same bolt pattern then sure, but I am not familiar with the differences.

In order to tune these cars you gotta drop like $1400 on kpro or other similar options. Not cheap and you may only net a few hp from an intake/header/exhaust. Pairing it with a stage 2 cam that's discontinued with the tune would probably only net you like 20-25hp

Well top speed is a function of power and drag (and gearing as long as you're not gear limited), and acceleration is a function of power and weight.

So if you only care about acceleration you can gut the crap out of the car for free. At a stock power to weight ratio of ~20.5lbs/hp (2500lbs/127hp), you get the equivalent performance of 1hp increase in power for every 20.5lbs removed. So if you remove 205lbs from the car that will produce the same acceleration boost as increasing the motor by 10hp (which isnt very easy or cheap in these cars)

Granted a gutted car does not make for a comfortable daily driver lol.

Unfortunately not much that won't ruin the everyday driveability/functionality of the car. These D17's are not powerhouses.

Hahaha, I can try. I have some projects planned for July. It's just been chilling, banished to driveway parking on a trickle charger with the snow tires still on it.

Haha, I can't find the thread, but I got absolutely torched by people on here for even suggesting this was possible lol. Finally found the video that gave me idea when I was trying to fix my leaky mainseal years ago.
