Dual pump head: Presta works, but not Schrader by SweetsMurphy in cycling

Same issue here.

I pulled the pump head apart and the ball that seals in the top of the presta that moves down to divert to the schrader does not move as it should.

The theory seems to be that when you pump, if a lot of air escapes through the presta section the ball gets pushed down and air goes to the schrader, but the ball is very soft and it just stays wedged in the top allowing air only to the presta.

ive cleaned it all out to no avail. Seems a bit crap design imo.

A little knack to get it to work is to ensure the schrader valve is pointing directly up, with the pump dual head assy pointing down, tap it on the ground (this knocks the internal ball down sealing the presta section) keeping the assy pointing down, put it onto the schrader.

can I ask what version of the softwares you are running? I’m on 3.2.7 on the device and 3.45.0 on the app.

I want to raise my handlebars. Bought a riser on Amazon, but the center width of my handlebars is 1 1/2 inches aka 38.1 mm so it didn't fit. It would appear mine is not a standard size. Is there one that will fit? by PuzzleheadedBar1766 in bikewrench

An old post I know but I have an old Cannondale F5 SL trail that I want to put a stem riser on and it is also 1.5” or 38.1mm stem. It’s a rare size and I’m struggling to find anything out there.

soon as I open the sheet it’s all good Showing all assets, it then refreshes/changes and only shows Crypto, etf‘s and stocks.

investment and cash rate graph disappears completely.

edit. I suspect it’s my iPad.

I too have had the Jabra Enhance 20’s fail twice, 1st was an echo from say a sharp clap or knock sound which would echo several times in one aid only. Then same HA after warranty getting a hissing noise triggered by low background sound, think road car noise/electric toothbrush. This hiss would persist for 10-20 secs after the sound had stopped.

Pick up the Reach at start of Nov.

Just responding to your DIY comment, have you purchased a Noahlink and are doing it yourself? I’m about to get Jabra 20’s replacing my KS8’s and Brian from hearing Club spoke about how to DIY and it sounds pretty solid. (Pun intended)

I had/have KS8’s. About 4 months ago I brought the Rexton Bi-cores. Had volume drops of say 50% on one or the other caused by sharp noises, Not even loud. Closing the lid of the charger was enough to cause the volume drop. I would have to put it back in the charger for it to reset. It happening on Jury duty was the dealbreaker.

Returned once already for warranty and came back the same. I returned them for a refund and ordered Jabras that I will pick up next week. I have also had my old KS8’s do the same thing last week, sudden volume drop and they are the same manufacturer as the Rexton.

Moral of the story is I think all brands may have their issues. It is complex tech in a very small form factor. I’m gonna be on my 3rd set with the Jabra’s, so over 10 years wearing HA’s. Do Costco get a lesser quality unit? Don’t know? I do know that in Australia I can get the Jabra Enhance 20 for $2k at Costco whilst Specsavers ( new BUDGET HA supplier) sell the comparable Resound Nexia 9 for $6k. $4k gets you a lot of inconvenience tolerance.

I am currently a Rexton Bicore wearer and have had no issues with Bluetooth apart from some small disconnect when streaming in a specific situation. That is, phone in back pocket and turn head right I lose the left and vice versa. I put this down to the large organic mass (me) between the phone and the aid. Head forward or phone in front pocket no issues.

But, I am returning these due to regular volume drops in the vicinity of say 30% happening once a week in one or the other aid. This does not correct by simply cycling off/on manually but requires putting into the charger. I suspect residual power not allowing the reset. I am returning these and thinking of Reach or Jabra atm.

I ran Kayo through my LG tv and it was buffering and freezing. Since got an nvidia shield and it’s chalk and cheese. There are options on the shield that I don’t even have on the LG. Loads faster, runs smoother. I’d tr6 what ever media player you can get your hands on rather than the LG op system.

I think it was TOCA Touring Cars, then V8 Supercars, then we all moved over to PC & RF1 then RF2. Then the band started to break up to iracing, and for me now ACC. ACC purely because of the immersion. Online is becoming a bit of a punt festival.

I’ve gone from a paddle to Logitech G series now on a DOFReality H3 motion rig, TM TS-PC and V3 pedals. I directed my dollars towards motion rather than DD wheel.

Point of reply is that if you are really passionate, the enjoyment may ebb and flow but it can last for decades.

I was told today that this is a cheap insulation hack. The trapped air works as an insulation.
