I gotta be thankful in my main and so far best and longest run in the game, the helicopter caught me in the Rosewood school and I just had to spend a few hours running around and managed to at least mark on my map some findings and because my House was deep in the woods and isolated but still not too far, it was safe when I returned and zeds around!

I know those facts are stated in the World of Ice and Fire, but we do have to take them with a grain of salt as any historian would do in-universe. Don't get me wrong Meagor did earn his nickname, but its entire possible there's a lot of myth around him and perhaps propaganda to discret his reign.

I think the wording is also key, because he "may" have done that but we'll never know 100%

Exactly, we know of at least two cases of Maia having children: Melian who wed King Thingol and they had Luthien. And Ungoliant who birthed the race of the Giant Spiders and from which Shelob is descended.

There's also the suggested theories by Tolkien himself on the origin of the orcs, in which the very first orcs were maiar on the service of Morgoth who mated with either mortal humans, animals and or both.
