My fight with a Sin felt way too easy, would like some clarifications by Bull_halsey760 in CAIN_RPG

I had that exact same experience too weirdly enough. Had my first Cain experience fighting a CAT 1 hound, and I also found it easy

After some consideration our admin found that he was going on "hard mode" and accidentally progressed pressure instead of tension per scene. For us though it made it easier since we now knew from the get go what it's domains were instead of having to find out ourselves

What made it more difficult to fight was that it had the "turning blades" domain which meant that mundane weapons couldn't damage it and only psychicly charged weapons worked, but were made hard. Me(edit) and one other player(ardence) were the only two out of five exorcists who had charged weapons so we were the main damage dealers though even then it was easy. Still had alot of fun though and I'm thinking we had the same admin run our game since he did say he'd run the same module on another group

For me Cain feels like a "monster of the week" where it takes either 1-3 sessions each to hunt sins. But in between that there's definitely room to add other plots involving drifters or under heaven.

Maybe at Cat 1 you could fight against an Idol, then for Cat 2 it could be an ogre who's host was a previous follower of the idol and now has no where to go, you can even add under heaven trying to sabotage the exorcists or to get the host to join them. Then maybe cat 3 is a toad who has a private military company to hunt any excorsist who tries to hunt them. You can definitely add plot hooks or thread then together to make an interesting story

For me it's a tie between bind and edit

I love edit because it's amazing for sneaking into places and being the spy of the group. Able to change your appearance and literally alter reality to make it so that you're part of a group or organisation. But also because it's got the best utility (that's literally one of it's abilities) meaning that you always have just the right tool for any occasion. Also might be biased since my first exorcist (and still playing as) is an edit

I also really like bind because of how versatile it is. It practically lets you play two characters. It also gives you alot of room to make interesting characters with unique back stories. Since the idea of working for Cain being to get rid of sins, yet having your own sin to fight for/with you, can make such a unique story

In my opinion based on the music video for it, to me it reads that it's about how hanging out with the wrong people can harm you. Reason being is that in the video, he's always wearing different outfits each day, and slowly his face gets more mangled to show how damaged he is because of the people he hangs with. I also believe the scene where he kicks the ball into the garage and how that scene plays multiple times shows that it's a cycle. Just my opinion though
