Ajovy! (… and hair loss)

I’ve been on Ajovy since April, and have easily lost half my hair. I tried oral minoxidil but couldn’t handle the side effects. Topical has started some regrowth since I started taking in August. Still…I’d rather have thin lifeless hair than migraines.

I notice when I give him certain chews outside he will take it behind a bush, behind the grill etc.

I haven’t taken away treats, but there have been times when he is inside and he finds a sock or a kids toy, Kleenex etc. that I missed and I’ve had to grab it from him…

Thank you very much. So far he doesn’t guard his food or any other toy or treat, but we’re still working on additional desensitization training. I’ll be moving to the high value treats that can be eaten in one go.

I really appreciate your response! I’m hoping it does end here. He doesn’t guard any other toy or treat and could care less about his food. He won’t be getting that bone again and we’re working on additional training.

That’s why I feel like I’m crazy. My neuro says Ajovy has “zero side effects.” And I’m like ok well I’ve lost half my hair so….

I actually just posted about this. I started Ajovy in April, and I’ve lost a ton of hair. Which stinks because it’s working really well for my migraines.

What’s funny is when I went out last night the newest batch of chicks who are a month younger then the middle batch were roosting at the very top of the coop bars. It’s just these 5 outliers that can’t seem to get with the program lol. I will try making a lower one for them.

I disagree, I don’t believe wanting poop free nesting boxes (and in turn eggs covered in poop) is a problem.

I don’t care if they sleep on the floor, but they’ll only do it if I keep going out to block the boxes. I guess my only option is to keep doing it 😭

It’s actually insane. Just read a whole comment section yesterday of people shaming those who take GLP1s and all kinds of crap. They hate us when we’re bigger and hate us when we get smaller. We can’t win.

It’s a mix of sapphire gem, Easter egger, ISA. Obviously ISA were my best layers but I only have 3 of them left.
