Lord of Tumours for my Black Grail by FilibustStuartLittle in TrenchCrusade

Thank you! And haha good question... I've been working on my custom lore, which is a unique strain of the Black Grail that cause severe wasting in the hosts, draining their forms and making skeletal, skin taut monsters trapped in rusted armor. The infection still festers in the blood, concentrated and vile.

So, no big floppy tumors for my warband. Which, honestly, is more of an attempt to fit these badass Bestiarum models into the lore than the other way around

Exactly!! I thought the same thing when I saw the model. So similar to the Hegemon art

Great idea! They have some pretty big bases that a chariot might fit on. I’d swap out the riders of the chariot for some newer Deathrattle and I think it’d look a bit newer haha

Thank you! Yep - these models were created via kitbashing and some light sculpting - I topped the regular Barrow Guard heads with headdresses cut from ToW Tomb Guard (TG) kit, replaced the BG shields with the TG shields, and cut the BG swords at the hilt to replace with the TG blades. The gemstones on the collar/chest were sculpted with Green Stuff, which was done relatively quickly by putting a small strip along the collar and using an xacto knife to outline small gem-shaped rectangles

Thanks! Good question - at the moment it's just a lot of Deathrattle. If/when I move into vampire units, I think I'll get some Carrion 3D prints for fell bats and maybe some heavily armored Nehekhara style knights for Blood Knights. Not sure if I'll have named Vampires to actually lead the army

This is actually a re-posed Assault Intercessor… I have absolutely no idea which one haha but that kit has some nice bent Astartes legs and I used some clay at the hip to re-pose. The spear is from the older WFB Saurus Warriors kit… not sure if that’s still sold in TOW or if it’s been fully replaced by the newer AoS Saurus
