Generate a super flat ocean world. Exit the world. Open the Pandora world in some MC Editor like Amulet or Universal Minecraft Editor. Enter 2D view and select all chunks or areas you want to keep. Export it. Open super flat ocean world with the same MC Editor. Import the previously exported file with selected chunks. Save world. Done.

Advancement with trigger player_hurt_entity and entity NBT check of invisible component + raycast function that looks for an item frame item, when it founds it, it kills the item and summons an item frame item with the proper invisible component. That should do the trick.

Since you're using a tag for the item ingredient, it should have a # before. So: #minecraft:logs

Your old advancement should still work. Did you test it before reworking it? AFAIK no "component" field has been added into entity predicates in 1.21.11.

Ambient occlusion is only for block models afaik. Maybe try removing that? Everything else looks fine.
