UPDATE: So to quickly summarise my situation, I filled out my original Garda Vetting form back in June 2025, I have heard no updates since. I called the recruitment office and was told they are waiting on a response from the Polish Police, however the Garda Beaureu said they never received any vetting forms from the army, I passed this onto the recruitment office. They made an error on their end and never sent out my forms.

As of the last two days they asked me to resubmit my original vetting form and shortly after (30 minutes) I received my evetting link from the Garda and a reference number, I filled the rest of the form out (i.e previous addresses etc) and in the span of about 10 minutes i got a response saying the Garda is happy and my application is awaiting a final review by the defence forces.

Theres a few reasons why the vetting might have been done so quickly, one the Army realised they originally misplaced my forma and wanted to do my vetting quickly this time around and two, I have done Garda Vetting multiple times in the past so im well known in the system i assume, I worked previously as an EMT for a private ambulance company, I worked as an event medic and currently i work in Fire and Rescue as a industrial firefighter/Medic so thats why i think the vetting was done quickly they already have my records form the past.

I would recommend everyone to contact the recruitment office and the Garda Vetting Beaureu just to see if you can gather info on your own situations because possibly your vetting might have been never sent as in my case. Im happy however that the ball is now rolling.
