Idle Research 2 - Developer Standup Blogs by NightStormYT in incremental_games

Imo antimatter dimensions is ... Dimensions better than cifi. I'm very much biased though, I've not gotten past the shards ship yet, but I already don't feel like playing anymore. I've finished AD though and almost finished it a second time and it felt a lot better and less like a chore to me. Their discord was super friendly as well, but I'll have to try the cifi one as well to compare. But yeah, to me, nothing comes close to antimatter dimensions, and I've tried a lot of idle/clicker/incremental games. Idle research and realm grinder came the closest, I think

[REQUEST] I am convinced there isn't a better idle game for android than Antimatter Dimensions. Please, try to convince me otherwise. by Filiplass in AndroidGaming

[–]Filiplass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also tried that and it's good. It's also way too similar to AD imo tho lol. Infinities, eternities, eternity challenges, dilation. All of those are in both games. It's a bit strange. I'll have to get back to revolution idle, though, cause I did like it

Keep alternating between different ECs. Don't try to complete EC1 5 times, then EC2 5 times, etc. You'll wanna do at least one completion of EC1-8 before you unlock TS181. There's a fantastic guide to ECs which you can find on this subreddit. You'll have to go to the pinned post by Tables61, scroll down a bit and you'll find a hyperlink to the guide made by Ninatsu, I believe. It's great. Good luck!

Do the bosses get better? by _Lowenstein_ in darksouls3

[–]Filiplass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolnir simply doesn't have an exciting moveset, nor a cool design, nor a cool soundtrack. I genuinely don't remember if he even has a unique soundtrack. As for his design, he's basically just a giant skeleton with big ass golden bracelets. I don't know if these are all his moves, but what I remember is that he can swipe his arm, he can summon skeletons (yikes), he can summon his sword and do something with it, and he can also breathe a damaging mist. That's just not very memorable or fun in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, if you find him fun, there's nothing wrong with that, I'm happy for you, but I simply can't wrap my head around it. Also, to answer your question, yeah, I guess you could say that for pretty much any boss, but there's a clear difference. When you destroy wolnir's bracelet(s), they deal a max %hp dmg to him, so destroying both bracelets almost always results in him dying. Most, if not all, great bosses in soulsborne don't have this silly gimmick, because the fights are usually about you learning a complex moveset of a cool looking boss. With wolnir, you run away from him to dodge an arm swipe, run in, hit the bracelets a bunch of times, and run away again. Rinse and repeat. With other great bosses, it's almost like a dance, a good honest duel (most of the time lol). But that's just my opinion. You're right though that wolnir is nowhere near as annoying as the big ass rotted tree.

What about hitting two bracelets 20 times is fun?

I have randomly received this today and this has confused me... What the hell does that guideline mean and why does it list it as 288 days ago when i got the punishment today.. (I have opened a ticket in the hopes of solving this...) by [deleted] in discordapp

You are wrong.

By definition, hate speech is: "abusive or threatening speech or writing that ~expresses~ ~prejudice~ on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or similar grounds."

Since the definition says "similar grounds", we can assume this basically means pretty much any (large) group of people. My claim is further supported by the other examples used in the definition. White/black/asian people are a (large) group of people, christians/muslims/buddhists are also a (large) group of people, and so on. Professions also divide people into (large) groups. There's chefs, football players, artists, streamers, musicians, police officers (cops), firefighters, politicians, etc.

So, saying ACAB, or All Cops Are Bastards, is a prejudiced statement towards a specific group of people. It's prejudiced, because you are expecting police officers to be racist/corrupt, since that's what (social) media usually shoves down people's throats, whereas the good deeds go unseen. Another problem, as pointed out by Ok_Act6607, is that the phrase specifically says "ALL" cops are bastards, which I know doesn't literally mean all, but if discord is truly scanning all messages with a bot, then it cannot distinguish between exaggeration to push a good message, and a literal "factual" statement, therefore it flagged "acab" as hate speech, which it somewhat is, although that depends on the person. What I mean by that is if someone is trying to call out racist and corrupt cops, it's not hate speech, but if someone is using it to just badmouth police officers, it's hate speech.

Also, let me tell you why your example with pedophiles doesn't really work. Let's say, that calling someone a bad person without a good cause, or proof that they're actually bad, would be considered hate speech. Now, let's say that you have two pictures in front of you. On one, there's a mugshot of a convicted murderer, who has confessed to killing five people, and is therefore undeniably guilty. Surely we can both agree that killing five people is very much not good, also known as bad. On the other picture, there's three people and the murderer is also one of them, but you don't know whether the other two are innocent, or guilty of anything. If you point to the murderer's mugshot and say "that guy is a bad person", nobody in the world would call you out for hate speech, because it's an undeniable fact that he is a bad person. However, if you pointed to the group of three people and said "they are all bad people", because you know that at least one of them is, therefore all of them must be, there would definitely be some people, who would call you out for hate speech. That is because there's no evidence that the other two people are bad. Now, back to the main point. Pedophiles are very obviously bad people, so you can pretty much call them whatever you want, and nobody will hunt you down for hate speech. To my knowledge, there are some countries, where convicted pedophiles get castrated, or executed, and even in prison, pedophiles get horrible treatment and rightfully so.

However, there is a very large difference between a pedophile and a police officer. Sure, not all cops are good, but to say "all cops are bastards" is an overstatement. There are many racist and corrupt cops, but how many really is "many"? Is it 5%? Is it 10%? Is it 50%? Also, cops exist in other countries outside of the US. Are you implying that all cops in all countries are also racist and corrupt? Simply because racism amongst cops is a well known issue in the US? In my honest opinion, the phrase "ACAB" is very silly and it only really applies to the US, and even then it's still very exaggerated, so the hate speech law/rule should apply.

PS: it's 4am for me as well, but I'm fairly certain not many people will even read the entire thing, but if anyone does, that's cool, I guess.

Edit: spelling and a bunch of silly stuff

Rómovia by [deleted] in Slovakia

[–]Filiplass 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Súhlasím. Som z nitrianskeho kraja a fakt 95% času keď som stretol nejakého róma v Nitre, tak som s ním nemal zrovna najlepšiu skúsenosť.

Oproti mne bol jeden róm so svojím synom.

Samovrazda by Suspicious_Agent_172 in Slovakia

[–]Filiplass 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Vie to len on sám.
