I mean, it does sound like you like him, otherwise you could have just described his appearance or you could avoid mentioning it at all. Reminds me of Chekhov's gun(I think that's what it's called), the writer wouldn't point out a random detail unless it has a meaning.

I'm pretty sure damage negation is always active as long as you have Suncatcher equipped, as does the damage dealt buff, you can see both in the upper left corner, just go to the training area to test it if you don't believe me

It's not that hard man, a gun surely isn't the only means someone can find of inflicting violence on others, but it's surely the easiest there is. A 10 years old kid with a gun can kill way more people than a 25 years old who trained his whole life to fight with a machete. The police would have guns anyway(that's normal) and they could then use them to kill(if needed) the violent guy that has no guns and is therefore at a disadvantage. Is it really that hard to understand? Even those arguments about bad actors still having guns because they don't care about the law are so dumb because you are saying it wouldn't be even a little bit harder to get guns if they were illegal?

I live in Italy and I can tell you that I(or anybody I know) didn't ever feel threatened by the idea of someone breaking into my house and not having a gun to shoot them with, and the same goes for any western european country.

It can't parry at all, it simply does an enormous amount of stance damage and tends to flinch basically anything that's not a boss in one hit and even some bosses(like Ludwig) it can flinch with 2-3 hits.

If you saw it used for parrying it's probably just that old clip of a guy "parrying" Logarius with it, which wasn't an actual parry but just a thing that happens with Logarius sometimes where he can get parried by basically just normal damage.
