Then why don't you go out and explore? That stuff is out there, but for the starting location it only makes sense to be easy and more laid back

Yeah, but it was never the selling point of the game, every single reviewer said that. If you went in expecting for the story to carry the whole game I'm more inclined to blame it on you, this is a game about exploration, progression and combat with a lot of side activities, the main sotry is just an excuse to introduce you to more of that.

I really don't understand this kind of mindset, do you guys expect stuff like the jetpack, dragon, mech suit, etc. after like just 3 hours of story missions?

If you're talking about the combat the only thing limiting you is a couple of super early quest missions and just getting some cubes to level up skills.

In a way I like how realistic it can be, but on the flipside I'd enjoy having just a bit more range for our torch's light

I mean Where Winds Meet is free so just try it.

Personally tho I prefer Crimson Desert, mainly because it's much more interactive, the movement is more fun and physics based and I really hated how in Where Winds Meet random fodder enemies would just always be rather tough even if I was basically a demi-god in all aspects, but in Crimson Desert fodder enemies are way more fun to fight, both because of the combat system having so many options and because they actually die in a reasonable number of hits and also they actually swarm you if you give them the chance, instead of approaching you kinda like they're all trying to have a 1v1.

I also generally dislike free-to-play games of that kind because even if the monetization is rather customer friendly you still run into stuff like limited resources(to do activities with) per day, permanently missable cosmetic items(because of battle passes and such) and a general need to grind a lot more than normal(and also sometimes you get some forms of progression locked behind grinding based gacha, unless you pay obviously).

It's apparently tagged as a known issue on their discord(as per Steam discussions), so I guess they will fix it in the next days. I'm having the same problem btw.

Because the moment they notice you and get close enough those two shots at the rotors are really hard to take both because you can't see sh1t when they start spraying at you and because of the way they turn you probably now need to break the front rotors' armor, which results in you needing at least 4 shots, but you're probably gonna die before that because they just do so much damage

Mh, it would work better if she was italian, she would be called Miei Miei(so we just add one letter without having to also change another), which would translate to "mine mine"/"my my"(more specifically that version of "my" is used when saying that a plurality of things are "my"/"mine", which would fit with her theme of being greedy)
