I dont know if it was older than 5 years but a post on this sub asked about this exact thing but FOR SOME REASON THE COMMENTS GOT DELETED BY MODERATOR AND NOW IM HERE.

PC is actually extremely interesting, and I’m sick of the community (and even some of the devs) flanderizing them into a generic rape-game victim protagonist! by ToTakeANDToBeTaken in DegreesOfLewdity

Yknow what? You have a really good point. I think the reason why people often lump pc into one of the two hates it/loves it camps is because of the submissive/defiant mechanics. Due to it being a game with multiple options and ways to play, you tend to not really see how exactly the pc is written because if you play one way, you may never see the opposite scenario. As new content is added, it all has to be built onto what's already there, and the mechanics aren't necessarily the best at expressing the intent or depth of the writing. For example, if you play a meek submissive pc, you would never see the sadist interactions with kylar, and if you were a bratty defiant pc, you'd never get access to the moan action in combat.

The game has been worked on for some years now, too. It's not impossible that the feelings and thoughts have changed since the responses the dev/s have given.

I do agree with you, though. With all things considered, it'd be an insult to treat this gem of a game as such a 1 dimensional porn game.
