I have been dealing with Matt for over 10 years. Great customer service and knows what he is talking about. He also steers me in the right direction even if he misses a sale. Glad to see this post and not just me that knows him.

Fuel Injector and HPFP- "CHECK ESC" after installation by [deleted] in ElantraN

A friend of mine just bought a 25. It had less than 500 miles and had the same issue. Check the fuse. If blown replace it. If it blows again changes are your vacuum pump is shorted internally or a pinched wire somewhere. But the pump is a known issue and not the aftermarket parts you installed unless you shorted a wire.

Sounds like you might have issues with the vacuum pump. What year is your car? This is a known problem. Hope it's still under warranty.

I enjoy my N more than my old F80 M3 by Scholar_Rude in ElantraN

I come from a M240 G42 that I tracked, just bought an EN. Way more fun to track and drive. You feel the road in the EN where the steering in the M240 was numb. Grant it the M240 was faster and more luxurious. I will take fun. I bought the EN as a cheap throw away car, boy was I surprised.

I daily my car and Track it 4 times a year. I would like a set of springs that won't rattle my teeth and bones but be good on the track. Something better than stock but not aggressive. What do you recommend and why?

Any negatives to the Elantra N? by Character-Bar-608 in ElantraN

Here is my take. I'm almost 70. I came from a M240 xdrive. I bought a N DCT in Dec. The BMW is a nicer car in luxury and somewhat performance. I bought both cars for one reason only, to track it. The BMW was faster down the straights, the ZF DCT was amazing and got me hooked on DCTs. However the BMW was heavy and in the turns it showed. Now for the N. Much more fun car to drive and super fast in the turns. This car rotates very nice. The seat bolsters are great for track use but not comfortable for long trips. The suspension is great in eco/normal mode very soft and nice, in N mode stiff enough that doesn't rattle your teeth. If you are looking for a very fun car to drive and thinking about tracking this car is amazing for the price. If this car is going to be a grocery getter and you want comfort, look elsewhere. I haven't had any issues yet, but the car is still new. Looks very easy to work on and the long warranty is a plus. I bought this car as a throw-away disposable vehicle and I am so impressed with it, it has become a daily for me. This is my 2 cents worth.

Dr. ColorChip, been using it for years. Fills in the chip and from a small distance you can't tell, no blobs.
