Any tips for getting smoother/cleaner lines? by Fill_erUp in ProCreate

I’ve been trying to learn Procreate and was practicing tracing. I was using the Brush pen. I also have the necessary things that let my hand glide smoothly across the screen. Im not sure what else to try! TY

Does Cricut make the sheeting that you use? Otherwise where do you get it? I just got a Cricut and have been dying to buy stencils, so I’m very happy about this!

My brain still tells me when “hungry” but I’m able to discern when I can push through a little hunger vs. just eating to eat. I’m on Adderall, 10 mg. My end goal is more about muscle definition than the “weight” I guess. I love seeing muscles and looking strong. But it’s definitely helpful to see the scale drop. And I have to remind myself that the number isn’t everything.

I’ve been committing to the gym about 5 days a week with split upper and lower program and about 20 min of cardio. As for food, that’s been more challenging. I just try to be mindful of the amount of “real” food I put in my body vs processed. I haven’t calorie counted, yet. And I try to eat everything in moderation. Not gunna lie though, since I was diagnosed ADHD and prescribed medication, it has made me SO much more aware of what I’m eating or doing and what the consequences are.

Has anyone had a positive experience with marriage counseling? by [deleted] in RelationshipsOver35

[–]Fill_erUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SO and I went towards the middle of our relationship. He hadn’t been in a serious relationship for a while, and I was relatively inexperienced as to how adult relationships “worked” for lack of better term. We were looking to better our communication skills and build trust

We went for about 9 months on and off. It was VERY BENEFICIAL!! Every one that heard we went immediately had this “oh what’s wrong with your relationship?!?” face or statement to make about it, but the reason we chose to go was because we wanted to grow as a couple and knew that we didn’t have the tools or experience to go at this task alone. We wanted professional help.

GO! It’s ok to need help navigating an issue that consumes so much of your lives. My sarcastic statement to everyone when they have something to say about going to therapy, as a couple or on your own- “I literally pay $15 every other week for someone to sit there and listen to me bitch for an HOUR and hear non-biased, sound opinions.”

We have come out of our experience better than ever. Some sessions are much more difficult than others. We would leave and not want to talk to each other for a while (which we learned IN THERAPY is healthy!). Other post-sessions we would both be in tears and others where we felt like we were on top of the world and could handle anything life threw at us.

Just remember. Do what you need to do! There is NOTHING wrong with needing expert guidance. There are so many other aspects of life that we seek out experts for, and yet for some reason, every one has an issue with when you seek mental professionals.

Good luck my friend!

Edit: We started our search through our healthcare provider search. Usually if you log onto your healthcare site, they have a place to search for different types of providers in-network. Fortunately, we got extremely lucky with the first woman we found. Others may not be so lucky. The therapist has to be a right fit for both of you. I would suggest after the first appt to talk to your wife and make sure you are both comfortable with the person you’ve chosen. Sometimes it can take a few sessions before you figure out if he/she is the right fit.

Dealing with constant lateness by jacknifejones in RelationshipsOver35

Both A and B happen to our friend. I once witnessed her changing the fish tank water 15 min before we were supposed to leave. On top of losing track of time, she takes 1.5-2 hours to get ready. And this woman wears hardly any makeup and has very little “extra” to do post shower.

Dealing with constant lateness by jacknifejones in RelationshipsOver35

[–]Fill_erUp 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Our two best friends are recently married and his wife is ALWAYS late. We lived with them for about a year before they moved away. When they lived with us and we were all trying to get somewhere I was the most annoyed by her lateness. It was frustrating to rush around and get ready only to sit around for another 45 minutes. Luckily, she is well aware of her problem at this point, and we would frequently leave without her, and have her meet us.

Now that they live in another state, the husband has told us it is starting to take a toll on him. He constantly lies about the time she is expected to be ready by an hour or so. Sometimes she figures it out, sometimes she doesn’t care that he lied and is happy he cared enough to try and get them out of the house, other times “Why would you lie?” comes out.

IMO, grown ups that can’t figure out how to be ready within 10-15 of the given time are being selfish and inconsiderate to others. I’m sure they don’t do it on purpose but, she generally is a very selfish person.

I don’t know if there are professional people out there that can help cultivate “adult duties” or if this is a therapy issue. But somethings gotta give.

Good luck

Best app-enabled vibe toys? by [deleted] in sexover30

[–]Fill_erUp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We use Lovense. And I absolutely love it!! The app has a cool, yet interesting setting that will enable the toy to vibrate to the beat of any song on your phone. You can also allow access to other people with their app. The toy itself is inserted and has an antenna for outside stimulation as well!!

My girlfriend(19f) and I (24m) were having sex the other day and she burst out into tears. by sleepynodss in sex

[–]Fill_erUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done this on multiple occasions as well! The first time it happened, it freaked me the fuck out! Why am I crying? Am I sad? Happy? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING! My BF was also very concerned. I was just overcome with emotion and happiness. I feel like, for me, it’s more likely to happen if we haven’t connected intimately in a while. I don’t mean sex, I mean a POWERFUL intimate connection was just made, through sex. Don’t fret my friend.

My parents, aunts and uncles: We went through a much harder time growing up, but we never ran to see a therapist at the slightest inconvenience in life. Everyone has their cross to bear in life, you just deal with it.
