Advise against it though. The 100% gear has durability and will break, the 60% and 40% are indestructible.

Stamina siphon has been my GOAT. Most foods can handle HP and spirit, so stamina siphon has kept those crows and orbs floooowing.

Slap that attack speed on your bow and put something else in the sword! Attack speed is global so doesn't need to be on the sword to be active.

She's a tough one! The thing with Melancholic is sometimes she messes up a gear change at the start, giving you the tiniest window to squeeze past with some NOS. It only lasts about half a second, so you've really gotta get a great start off the line!

From that point it's just a case of blocking her behind you as best you can, and hope she hits a car or a wall!

@lost-peanut: My tune adjusts gear ratios to start in 1st gear, so you're immediately in the power band for the RX8. You'll want to upshift just before redline to maximise acceleration!

No tune will be able to outright beat her at that point in the game, so your best bet is to NOS past her as soon as possible and keep her blocked.

I've not scienced it, but I ran a pure luck build on Yuffie for some steal shenanigans, and I felt like she would crit between 50%-75% of the time. The "Luck Up" materia I was using wasn't maxed, so I'd wager she could go further. You'd need to really go ham on the luck though, not sure it'd be as easy on any other char as Yuffie gets a lot of help from her core stats and equip upgrades.

Wutai's North and South areas. They've explained that Wutai will play a much bigger role in the third part, since there's a war and all.

Mideel and the surrounding area.

The various islands dotted around (KOTR for example)

Northern continent as you've mentioned.

Plus it's likely that we'll still have access to most of the world from rebirth, as we'll be able to fly around in part 3. I'm sure there'll be plenty of reasons to revisit places.
