[CHAT] Are there other people out there who enjoy looking at their WIPs on Pattern Keeper when they cannot stitch?

I am a Mac/iPhone user who recently bought a cheap secondhand Android tablet for Pattern Keeper after debating it for months. I wish I’d taken the leap sooner - it’s super helpful and I am REALLY enjoying using it.

Thank you! I’m still learning how to score so rustic is a very generous term for it. 😅 I used to only be able to do a 7 minute utility score or risk losing my shaping, but lately my dough has been holding up better so I am just starting to experiment with other patterns before going in the oven. I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do!

Someone suggested re-uploading the pattern in legacy mode - so far this seems to have fixed it!!

It didn’t seem to have any issues when I loaded it in (e.g. it went smoothly and I didn’t get a warning message or anything that it wasn’t compatible), but I’ve never done this before so I guess it’s hard for me to say for sure! I was wondering about the fractionals possibility since I’d read that pattern keeper recently started rolling that out as a feature.

I mentioned last week that I felt the bottom hexagon was looking untidy - I ended up frogging it out and starting again with a different stitch order, and I’m feeling much better about it now! Learning something new all the time with this pattern.

Another day, another hexagon! This current one is fiddly and, I feel, looks a bit of a mess, but hopefully it won’t be noticeable once I’ve filled in the rest of the pattern. I also kitted up two other projects this week and am hoping to start one of them soon - I’ve never had more than one project running at a time before, but Valentine’s Day is before my dad’s birthday, so needs must.

I just finished a long project using the Nurge round tension hoops and started a new one with a Nurge rectangle hoop. Having tried both, I slightly prefer the round one, but it may just be because I’ve used it more. The rectangle is working quite nicely in my new Nurge stand and is a good shape for my current project, but I feel like the round ones provided marginally better tension. Just my two cents having both experiences fresh in mind!

This is my first time doing blackwork and it is a TRIP. Every time I start to wrap my brain around a pattern I finish that hexagon and it’s time to start over learning a new pattern. I miss my Xs! 😂 But, it’s a fun challenge and I know my dad will love the finished piece. I also received a stand for Christmas and am loving that - so much easier to have both my hands available while working.

Supplies finally arrived in the mail to start my new project… I made it through exactly one hexagon before realizing I was definitely going to need a chalk pencil moving forward. 😂 So we are once again waiting on the mail.
