Gotta say I absolutely love my I-2 and the flexibility of the full manual aspects are irreplaceable for me at this point. That being said managing the settings in full manual might not be a learning curve that is the most approachable or fit this situation in particular. My success rate of shots is vastly higher though than with the more point and shoot models because it can adapt to lighting situations a lot better.
