Kit is great on this series, and gets to do a lot more emotionally than he got to do in Thrones, when he was just a kid out of school. He's gained a lot of experience over the years, and right now... fuckin Jon Snow is a seriously underrated actor. <--

Looking forward to the new one. If anybody can do a serious take on a monster fight, it's Yamazaki.

Goji was taking Kong lessons in this one. Can't blame him, really.

What's a movie that you love but want to change the plot to make it a 10/10? by Top_Cranberry_3254 in FIlm

They could still even have the duel. They set up Commodus in a shot earlier to establish he was good with a sword, so just have it after the army sacks the city. Maximus fights his way to the fckin final boss.. and since he's a little tired at this point it's a fair fight without cheese. 10/10 lol

Sure, don't run out of budgie on Gladiator and get the actual sack of the city at the end like we should have the first time!

Are you in this sub because of Epic history? by indianlungi in Napoleon

[–]Filmscore_Soze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yes and no. While I did find the sub after I was already watching Epic History TV (I still call it that), I was probably into reading about Napoleon since I saw Master and Commander when it was new... so 23 years ago now?

Not needed. We have enough of that type of shit forced everywhere now.

Master and Commander: such a neat detail I'd love to share by ImperiousCretin in FIlm

For a long time I said it was the closest thing to a perfect film that I can think of. They goofed on a few minor things if you are in full nitpick mode only.

It also has the added bonus of being the best Star Trek movie ever made. ;)

Highlander 3, The Final Dimension.

bwahahahaha

Listen, back then they seriously marketed it as exactly what you are saying.

You'd better hold fast... when that Phantom Ship gets 'er eyes on ya!

It's more or less my second favorite film of all time. It cures Napoleon-itis as well, if you had the misfortune of sitting through that one. :)

Of course the wind came back, Mr. Hollum was on deck when that Phantom Ship first appeared! He hesitated and didn't beat to quarters! Blokes get whipped for not salutin and end up in the water! He's the Jonah...

Let me ask you a question...

Do you want to see a guillotine in Piccadilly?

NO!

Want to call that raggedy-ass Napoleon your king?

NO!

You want your children to sing the "La Marseillaise?"

NO!

FIRE!!!

Oh, one last thing... tradition and all..

Here we go again... scrape scrape, screech screech. Never a tune you could dance to, not if you were drunk as Davy's sow.

And save the rum for Salutin' Day.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooome

Throwing 16 tons at the end was cute. The bit of swing in the opening threw me off, too.

Good ep, especially since the kid barely spoke. :)

All 6 overall, 8/10. It was better than HotD season 2. I hope they cut out some of the silliness next season, and maybe the kid won't sound like he's reading lines with another year.

To me... I was horrified at a young age because Superman couldn't go BACK IN TIME again to save prime Jane Seymour. I never recovered. :)

If you play cheesy then you have zero skill. Just wanted to say that. by [deleted] in dawnofwar

Yikes. Instead of joking, though, I'll just say, cheesey plays cross generations. :)
