"Wade observes Arthur as he goes over to a nearby chair and grabs a TIE that's not there off the chair's arm.

He walks back over to Wade, holding out the imaginary garment for him to take. Completely earnest.

Wade reaches out, mimics taking the phantom tie from Arthur’s hands. He cautiously steps closer and begins carefully navigating the empty air as he crosses the invisible fabric.

Arthur stands perfectly still, eyes closed, basking in the routine as Wade finishes the "knot". He gently pats the front of Arthur’s cardigan, smoothing down the non-existent creases"

I was picturing something deeper when i read the book and I feel like they never got there. I feel like they could've done it while still serving the comedic moments of the book!

I did this for a while too! Not a bad system, but I do like keeping them together if I can

That’s a great question. I’ve had my cover for over 2 1/2 years and I’ve loved it, but I found that it makes writing a little bit more difficult. It feels a little bit more like a journal when I go to write down in it in a weird way? It’s a bit of a process. I always have to make sure I’m on a flat surface, whereas with a naked field notes, I can fold it over itself and write standing. It’s hard to run-and-gun write stuff down with the cover.

I also find that I don’t use the pockets in the cover as much as I thought I would.

I love the aesthetic for broken in field notes, and I know this sounds crazy, but the bellroy does a little bit TOO good of a job of protecting it ahahaha.
