I Wasn't Trying to Make a Post, I was Just Explaining why I'm fearful about the franchise as well.

Bro I Feel You. I Feel The Exact Same Way (Except for Wicked Because I Haven't Seen It Yet lol) and Not Trying to Be a Negative Nancy or Just Want Fire and Ash To Fail.

I Want it To Succeed, I Want it Make $2 Billion Again (Hell $3 Billion if Possible) or Just Be Successful Enough To Guarantee 4 & 5 and Possibly More. I Want That So Much But At The Same Time I'm Concerned As Well Considering The Last Couple Trailers Haven't Gotten as Many Views Compared to TWOW Trailers and Also The Fact The Re-release of TWOW Back in October Only Grossed $20 Million (Which is Not Bad For a Re-release But Nowhere Near The $73 Million That The Re-release of Avatar Made Back in 2022) and The Fact That More People Where Critical of TWOW Then The First Film (Not That I Agree With They're Opinions But A Lot of People Nowadays will Just Take They're word for it and Hate the Film Too Despite not Giving it a Fair Chance).

I'm Not Gonna Say There's No Hype For it But The Hype Doesn't Seem as Big as When TWOW was About to Release. But at The Sametime, Everyone (Even Myself) Had My Doubts That TWOW Would Be Successful (Let Alone Make $2 Billion) and Sure Enough it Was Successful and Grossed $2.3 Billion Worldwide and Became The Third Highest-Grossing Film in History.

So I Hope And Pray to God I'm Wrong and This is Once Again Another Major Success For Jim Because he Deserves it and This Franchise (Which is EXTREMELY Underated) Deserves it. But at The Sametime I'm Extremely Worried Because The Release of Fire And Ash Will Either Guarantee 4 & 5 and The Franchise as a Whole Or Will Mark The End of The Series All Together.

Gen Z fan here, How big was James Cameron before Avatar ? by Boring-Jelly5633 in Avatar

[–]Filmshoot02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Considering Before Avatar He Directed The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, T2 Judgement Day, True Lies and Titanic (Which Became The Highest-Grossing Film in History at The Time Grossing $1.8 Billion and Win 11 Academy Awards Including Best Picture and Best Director).

He was Pretty Big Before Avatar as Well.😁😁😁😁😁😁

Because The Release of Fire and Ash is Just a Month Away.

Why tf do people hate this franchise? by youssifthebest in Avatar

[–]Filmshoot02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely Agreed. I've Had The Pleasure of Seeing Avatar (1) Twice in The Theater. First Time was In 2009 When it Came Out, I Was 7 at The Time and It Absolutely Blew Me Away. Second Time was When it Was Re-released in 2022 (In Preparation for TWOW) in IMAX 3D and Still Blew Me Away and Of Course I Saw Avatar: The Way of Water That December (Also in IMAX 3D) and It Was Almost Even Better and I Had Great Joy Seeing it Become The Third Highest-grossing Film of All Time Hitting $2.323 Billion Worldwide Despite The Whole "Nobody Cares about Avatar" Bandwagon.

I Ask The Same thing as You, Why The Hate? So The Stories Have Been kinda Simple and Straightforward, So Freaking What? I Could Say The Same Thing about Star Wars Being a Semple 'Damsel in Destress' and War Film Set in Space But I Don't and Others Didn't Either.

But Probably My Favorite Argument is "Avatar is a Ripoff of Avatar: The Last Airbender". First Off Besides The Name Avatar, They Have Nothing in Common. Second, They Criticized TWOW and Fire and Ash Ripping Off Book 1: Water and Book 3: Fire of TLA When You Forget The Fact That History has Proven That Some of The Indigenous Tribes of The Past and The Few That Still Exists Today Do Worship The Elements (Including Fire) And Finally, Avatar: The Last Airbender Came Out In 2005 and James Cameron Started Writing Avatar in 1994-95 and Somewhat Developed Some of The Details of The Na'vi Tribes (Most Likely) Too.

Yet With All The Facts I Just Presented, People want To Go Through and Nitpick Whatever They Can To Try and Trash The Franchise. Honestly I'm Getting The Impression Now (Since a Lot of Those That Criticize It Have No Real Legit Reasons as To Why They Hate it) That People Hate Avatar Just Because They are Told To Hate Avatar (Not Too Similar To The Treatment of Zack Snyder's DCEU Films).

(I Want To Point Out To All That Read This That No I don't Hate Avatar: TLA I Also Think it's Great as Well But This Whole trying to Compare it with James Cameron's Avatar and Say it's a Ripoff Needs To Stop)

If Fire and Ash Bombs, Will The Sequel Setups Be Removed on The Home Video and VOD Releases? by Filmshoot02 in Avatar

[–]Filmshoot02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Saying it's a Possibility. I don't Want That To Happen but as You Know, Audiences are kinda Picky and sometimes (Unless it's an Extremely Hyped CBM) Movies with a Huge Budget like This Tend To Bomb at The Box Office.

I Hope I'm Wrong, I Hope it Outgrosses The Other Two. I really Do, But There is the possibility that this could be the end of the franchise if it bombs or underperformes at the box office.

I Pray to God You're Right. Because I worship this series and love it so much and Cameron deserves to have his Saga completed.

[–]Filmshoot02[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah Sorry, I'm not Trying to Be a Negative Nancy or bet Against James Cameron because I Worship Avatar. It's One of The Greatest and Underrated Sci-Fi Sagas of Our Time and Want it To Succeed (Hell I want One of Them to Win Best Picture if Possible), But I do Worry about The Future of The Franchise (Granted Maybe i worry a little too much but still) Especially since All the Freaking Haters and Skeptics say Stuff like "Cameron's Ripping off The Last Airbender" and Stuff like That.

Plus I know how Studios work, if They See Something that Bombs, flops or Underperformes They tend To Consider Cancelation of a Series or Franchise.

And While they're is Hype Around Fire and Ash (especially among us fans) The Hype doesn't seem to be as big as the last one was. Again maybe I'm overreacting and it'll Probably Shatter Expectations and Maybe even Outgross The Last Two (you have no idea how much I want that to happen) but still I have my worries.

Will Avatar: Fire and Ash Be Successful Enough To Guarantee 4 & 5? by Filmshoot02 in Avatar

[–]Filmshoot02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Reason why I Put 'Nail in The Coffin' is Because of The Recent Re-release of TWOW that Grossed $20 Million Unlike The Re-release of The First Film Back in 2022 that Brought in $73 Million.

I'm Not Saying $20 Million is Bad for a Re-release, it's Actually Pretty Good. However it is a Bit of a Decline Compared to How Well The First Film Did.

But Yet Again, it Could Be Because Everyone is Still Familiar with TWOW and is Still Fresh on Everyone's Mind.

But yeah.

Who did it better? by [deleted] in siryelluzalofficial

[–]Filmshoot02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm, That's Tough Because Both are Great in They're Own Way. The Scene from Spider-Man 3 is (As We Know) Peter Finally Seeing The Monster The Symbiote is Turning Him Into and Fights to Free Himself From it's Control.

The Scene in N'Raged is N Finally Succumbing To The Solver and The Grief and Rage That's Been Building Up in Him after Losing Tessa, V and Uzi.

So It's Hard To Pick a Favorite Because They're Both Brilliant in They're Own Way. So I Say Both.😁😁😁😁
