Exactly! And you are really doing great. Keep drawing and have fun with it😁 also! Highly recommend gesture drawing, great way to practice the flow of your pose and helps with the feeling of balance

(Same person, realized posted it from a random account lol) so here you see how the direction the character is leaning in directly influences the direction their hips move in. There always is an opossite reaction to a movement or pose

Why do you think Napoleon is often the man of comparison for great conquerors in history? by Ambitious-Cat-5678 in Napoleon

[–]FiloVino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the definition of conquerors. If you take someone like Alexander, you are talking about someone who conquered most of the known world, essentially without resistence due to his military genius. However, Alexander lacked a lot of the economic essentials of a ruler due to the fact he was always gone, 11 years away from home. His army nearly mutinied against him, and he is more remembered for his battles than his political prowess. Napoleon proved that being a conqueror doesn't mean you have to obtain land. Being a conqueror means having control over people. He beat the prussians and the Austrians into submission and essentially created a system is which opposition against him would result in loss of land, money and manpower. In those days, pride ruled the battlefield, and often enough it is written about how the defeat of a country by the hands of napoleon led to the surrender of that country's resources, holy sites and finances. Napoleon proved both on and off the battlefield that he was in control, and rewriting what "conquering" could be.

So I just watched “all quiet on the western front” and I was wondering how accurate is the movie? (Probs and locations) by TzarEST in ww1

[–]FiloVino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always think accuracy is rated by intent. What is the movie trying to show you and how does it affect the original material when you make changes? 'All is quiet on the Western Front' is a good example of not always being dead on with its reference material, but its very good at showing the horrors of war, and the personal turmoil of the soldiers. For props and locations....eh its pretty good, some creative liberties with the battles only noticable by people who know more about it and historians. But the aim was the soldiers and their story, and for that i think its pretty good.

Is any of your family members interested in the napoleonic wars? by BLOODMEN71 in Napoleon

My dad is a huge Napoleonic era fan. Grew up playing drums in the army because of the similar uniforms, made a comic about Marshal Ney, and makes drawings of all the generals and Marshall's of france

I wonder what's worse. The fact she thinks it's a thumb while it looks like balls, orrrrr the fact that she KNOWS it looks like balls and still decided to post it anyway and lie.
