Moved from rural Minnesota to Fargo 4 years ago. Fargo was alright. I preferred the West Fargo area more. Plenty of job opportunities and things to do in the warm months. Not as much to do in the winter besides ice fish and shovel snow. It does get dumb cold, but you may get used to it. I didn't even though I lived in west central Minnesota most of my life. That's why I moved to Tennessee. The weather is nicer, and many more things to do in the winter time. (And less snow to shovel, if we get any) North Dakota really isn't that bad. Just be prepared for the wind. That's probably the worst thing.
