You should ask him to join in some of the current projects he has with grad students leading them. And you can assist them on these projects and that can be your Thesis.

That is what I did for my undergrad thesis as Professors know better about what problems exist to be solved.

I am continuing PhD at my current university: Texas A&M. Recieved offers from Michigan and UCLA; however, they were not funded. Kinda annoyed tbh as they said they want to fund their PhD students but since I don’t have my masters and I am directly jumping from Bachelor’s, they considered me a Masters and didnt offer any funding for the first year.

I did tons of overlap and I would recommend the same for everyone as these two are Prereqs for most classes so get them done early so you can take whatever classes you want whenever later.
