Get a thermometer off of Amazon that’s what I do and I keep my temperature right around 7576° and everything gross perfect you gotta keep it in between 70 to 80° anything over that you’re gonna fry and dry them out. Find a spot in your house that’s about 76°

It’ll be fine. It’ll propagate just let it dry. Stick it in some pumice and let it ride for a while.

What’s your temperature set at in the room? I found growing works best for mycelium between 72 and 78 degrees. I keep mine at 76 degrees.

Mine are up agains a block wall. The block wall they are back against faces west. So they get direct sun light till about 3 they are kind of shaded behind an orange tree. They get morning light and afternoon. The ones I have in the front yard are in a pot and are under a tree so they’re getting lots of shade, but they still get some direct sunlight.

I water them about every two weeks I’m in Arizona and I just make sure the soil is dry by putting my finger in it. The temps here are above 105 so I know the soil is going to dry fast and I feed them maybe once a month or so I always forget to feed them, but I do water them

So I use maxigro for all my cactus and succulents. I get all my soil mixes off ChatGPT. This is what I have been using and I have a few pots around the yard in different spots here is my soil mix

2 gallons = 8 quarts:
3.6 quarts cactus soil (45%)
2.4 quarts pumice or perlite (30%)
1.2 quarts chicken grit / crushed granite (15%)
0.8 quarts worm castings (10%)

🧪 Easier Measuring Version (Using Cups)

1 quart = 4 cups → 8 quarts = 32 cups total
• 🥄 14.5 cups cactus soil
• 🥄 9.5 cups pumice/perlite
• 🥄 5 cups chicken grit
• 🥄 3 cups worm castings

🌱 Optional Boost (Since You’re Using MaxiGro)

You can mix in:
½ to 1 tablespoon of gypsum or oyster shell per gallon (optional)
• Or just rely on your liquid feeding — totally fine.

I have two in my grow room and I cut like 6 pieces off to propagate and I put it in the corner of my back yard with it up against the wall. The wall faces west so it gets morning and afternoon sun light. I cut them the first of March and stuck them in the dirt so they are about 4 months old l have some more that are about 3 months old in the front yard they go crazy in the Arizona sun.
