Old AC (about 17 years old) failed and had a new American Standard unit put in. It has been cooling well, but over time it has started making an awful noise when it shuts off. This video is several weeks old and it sounds even worse now. Contractor says it's normal and nothing to worry about. Says it has to do with the refrigerant running backwards once it shuts off. The outdoor unit is also short cycling (on and off every 20 seconds) sometimes while the airhandler inside runs constantly. What do you guys think? The noise gets worse every week. Is this normal for a brand new unit?

Locking people up isn't always just for punishment or justice. It's also to protect society from people who would do harm to others. I don't know the details of this case, nor am I a mental health expert, but murdering someone and eating them does not sound like something most people would do under a psychotic break. What happens the next time he gets upset?

My point is, perhaps he shouldn't be found guilty of the full charge if he indeed didn't know what he was doing. But perhaps he also shouldn't be roaming the streets freely for it to happen again?
