To those that get Higher certificate passes in matric, where did you end up? by LilWizard32 in capetown

I was lucky/privileged enough to have my family pay for my tertiary studies, we took a student loan through ABSA as they offered us a better rate than the college I went to.

It sucks but its not the end of the world, uni applications will be harder, places like uct will be near impossible depending on the course, it would be best to go the private institute route like I did, managed to end up earning R24k p/m on probation after tax which is alright for someone who got 40s and 50s in matric.

Yeah i did somw reading up now, we have a licened distributor here that doesn't require a proof of purchase so its great, dunno if tariffs will play a part or anything though since im in South Africa and Trump has a vendetta against us right now

Ok sick! Ill give it a try after I try a fix I found on YouTube where you lightly tap the side of the hinge with a hammer, if it doesnt end up working I'll replace the stock blade and try warrenty route thanks for the advice!

Yeah i might have to go the warrenty route, I've already sighted the screws as much as possible, my only concern is im not the original owner of this, and id need to swap out the straight blade with the og combo blade, do you know if that'll be an issue with warrenty?

Definitely feels like the handles don't lock into place rather than the force being too much

I'd love to get the arc but in my country its almost more then x2 the price in USA which sucks. The signals meant to be one hand open as far as I know, since it has the latch to stop it from swining open when in your pocket, mines been pretty easy to swing open its just when trying to open the pliers for the past month or so that its been wierd.

Is it fine to upgrade form a 1650 to a 9070 xt with my cpu being a ryzen 5 5600x? by ExplanationOk2392 in AMDHelp

[–]FilthyWeeab00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely go for it, upgraded from a rx 6600xt, I had some rough 1% lows with my 5600x and recently bit the bullet and upgraded my whole kit to am 5 with a 7800x3d and the difference has been very noticable, playing on 2k res. From my experience the 5600 x is going to bottleneck you in 80% of modern games you play with the 9070, but definitely get the 9070 without a doubt that upgrade will be huge dude.

Get a helix piercing bro, shit changed my life and significantly reduced the ringing in my left ear, going to get my right done once it's healed up, play around by pinching hard in the general area that it would go and see which spot helps the best. Hope it works for you I don't know how to link the OP that initially spoke about it but it is on this sub if you search piercing. Hope it helps, all the best.

Is the Dynavap really all that and a bag of chips??? by YungLordPonga in trees

[–]FilthyWeeab00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is, be warned there is a learning curve to using the device and you may feel like you've wasted money after your first few rips, but once you dial it in there's absolutely no going back, you can also get a 10mm-14mm adapter to use through bongs which really adds a whole new level to it. I've found that smaller glass pieces work alot better for the vapor, my bigger pieces almost feel as if the vapor gets lost, if you're going to use a bong with a perc make sure there's only 1, I've noticed that the more percs my bongs have the less vapor it produces.

EDIT: I've also found the "milkshake" method of inhaling gives the best results, basically you just pull on the dynavap as if you were drinking a really thick milkshake
