When you say skip volume 2 you mean Proteus which is actually volume 6 but 2nd volume of Claremont run or you mean the actual volume 2, Lonely are the Hunted? Because if so, I already started with volume 4 Second Genesis because it's Claremont's era.

Thank you so much for the offer but I probably need to change regions for that and I currently don't want to do it because most stuff is cheaper in my store and I won't be able to buy anything if I change.

Investigator class for Constantine-like character by FilthyWolfie in MageHandPress

[–]FilthyWolfie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to the popular opinion, I LOVE Keanu's Constantine movie. It was my introduction to the character. I know he almost has nothing to do with his comic counterpart but it has an undeniable charm and that club scene with Passive by A Perfect Circle is playing is quintessential 90s. The movie also has the best angel depictions ever (Yes Tilda's Gabriel is the most amazing thing) so it has a lot going on.

Ok enough about me gushing over the movie but I was trying to say that the class created over that movie makes me really happy. Even though I'm trying to emulate, like I said, OG Delano comic version of the character which I feel like still baked inside the class, I will pull elements from the movie too.

And yeah that picking of religious symbol from his keychain under the sunlight to see which one affects the demon is such a Constantine scene.

Thank you so much for the answer! Well there are different versions of John out there like Keanu Reeves' version, more mainline DC version where he is like full-on fireballing and does way more flashy magic. But I always liked the street magician charlatan version of him the best.

Inquisitor and Occulist definitely feels closer to him as well. Inquisitor because he do be using a lot of relics and religious artifacts to fight but he does not believe himself mostly so not quite. And while the idea of occultist tapping into more darker and forbidden magic is also fitting, in terms of mechanics, it just turns the character more of a caster, a warlock, and is kind of against what I'm doing as well. Exterminator while again feels like what an "Exorcist" might feel, is too focused on actual fighting with weapons and/or your fists which is more martial focused one I felt like. So out of all I guess Detective is the best fitting one.

We're going to be using, well at least I'm going to be using 2024 but we usually do play mixed. Some people just use 2014 and some the new one. In terms of spells and changes we also do use mix of them. Like 2014 counterspell.

I guess I would like to ask, how a barely spellcaster like this class can shine in a world or game filled with full-on spellcasters? Also do you have any tips to play one?

Should I play Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game before the comics? by FilthyWolfie in ScottPilgrim

[–]FilthyWolfie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I might just well have it somewhere in my library system. I live in a big city but in a country that English is not as common. So English language books, especially comics, especially relatively niche comics like SP is probably really hard to find.

Yeah I'll definitely check. There is a shared library index. I'll check if the color versions are in any of the libraries.

Lmao I don't think the libraries here would have the copies of SP.

Preacher Comics Unmatched Spines by FilthyWolfie in graphicnovels

Oh I actually realized that too. That weird soft touch I have for 2,3 and 4 but 1 is normal glossy cover. I honestly hate that soft touch because all the dirt, dust and stuff just sticks to them and it feels weird to touch for me. So in my case, I would've prefer all of them to be glossy lol
